4 Directions for Logan Paul after loss to Cody Rhodes at WWE King and Queen of the Ring: Legal action, mega feud & more
Despite his best efforts to outsmart Cody Rhodes at WWE King and Queen of the Ring, Logan Paul was defeated by The American Nightmare. Paul repeatedly tried to cheat but to no avail.
His ringside posse provided him with another set of brass knuckles. The Maverick also hit Rhodes with a low blow while the referee was distracted. His actions, however, backfired as the champ was able to overcome every obstacle.
Now that he was unsuccessful in winning the Undisputed WWE Championship, Logan Paul could take different paths, including any of the following four.
#4. Logan Paul threatens legal action for a rematch
One thing Logan Paul has done brilliantly is consistently add layers to his heel presentation. He's had his entourage accompany him and help him cheat. He's also cozied up to the top heels on RAW in the Judgment Day.
Paul brought his lawyer with him during the contract signing for the King and Queen of the Ring match. They introduced their contract for the match, which only listed Cody's title as up for grabs in Jeddah.
Since they signed a contract from Paul's lawyer, they could reveal a loophole or technicality that benefits the United States Champion. It could prolong the feud if that's the direction bookers want.
#3. He blames Michael Cole for his loss
Michael Cole was part of the lead-up to the King and Queen of the Ring title match. Logan Paul vowed he would not use brass knuckles in the title match. He even gave the announcer his 'only' pair of knuckles to prove he wouldn't use them.
The Maverick broke that promise to the dismay of many, most notably Michael Cole. He repeatedly called Paul names like coward, loser, and cheater for breaking his vow not to use the knuckles. The US Champ may be a SmackDown star, but he's appeared before on RAW.
Paul could blame his loss on Michael Cole since he won't accept that he's responsible for his wins and losses. This would keep him busy or allow a new challenger to emerge and defend the announcer.
#2. He takes a Roman Reigns' like hiatus
Like The Tribal Chief, Logan Paul is a part-time star. They show up for big events or big matches and then often take a month or more off.
Reigns hasn't been seen since WrestleMania 40. Paul adopted this schedule but had to appear more regularly after winning the United States Title. The Maverick has worked the last two Premium Live Events so that he may be due for a break.
Money in the Bank and SummerSlam are next, with the latter taking place in his hometown of Cleveland. He will likely take some time off before returning in July.
#1. It's time for him to defend the US Title
Kevin Owens and Randy Orton were the last two stars to challenge Paul for his US Championship. The triple threat took place at WrestleMania 40, meaning that Paul hasn't put his title on the line in over a month.
It's time that he goes back to worrying about his title. He's already teased a feud with LA Knight. WWE stars like AJ Styles, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, or Montez Ford could go for the belt.
If WWE still had the 30-day clause, he would have already defended his championship. Since he refused to do so in Saudi Arabia and lost, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis should make him defend his belt.
