4 dream matches that could become a reality if the Lucha Bros join WWE

Last week it was reported that WWE has reportedly agreed to sign the former AEW Tag Team Champions the Lucha Brothers.

However in the days that followed it was stated that whilst World Wrestling Entertainment remains their likely destination, they are still under contract with All Elite Wrestling.

Whilst their arrival may be halted somewhat, dream matches are always something that we as fans like to speculate on. Therefore, we are going to take a look at four tag teams that the Lucha Bros could face if they sign for WWE.

#4 - It's a new team for The New Day

For almost a decade, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E have been providing fans with many iconic and entertaining moments as a part of The New Day.

Having won multiple tag titles as a part of the group as well as Kingston and Big E both capturing the WWE Title during their association with the faction, the stable truly elevated all three members to legendary status within the company.

Now they're very much part of the furniture in WWE, Woods and Kingston would be perfect opponents for Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr. if they do indeed sign with the company, given that The New Day is very much World Wrestling Entertainment through and through.

This contest would certainly tick off a dream tag team match for many fans with one of AEW's and WWE's best-ever teams colliding for the first time ever.

#3 - Siblings may face off in WWE

As real-life brothers, Fenix and Penta know each other better than almost any other duo in pro wrestling today.

One young pair who would certainly benefit from facing off against the experienced pairing of the Lucha Bros would be Julius and Brutus Creed, The Creed Brothers.

The siblings have recently been on the rise on RAW as members of Chad Gable's American Made faction. With their rivalry with The Wyatt Sicks now seemingly over, The Creed Brothers need a new team to test themselves against.

The Lucha Brothers have shown over the years that they can have some great matches against fellow siblings, most notably their iconic steel cage match against The Young Bucks at All Out 2021 for the AEW Tag Team Championships.

#2 - The Lucha Bros may cast Judgment on WWE's most villainous group

For two years now, The Judgment Day has had a lot of the spotlight on Monday Night RAW. During this time, the faction has held tag team gold on many occasions.

The World Tag Team Championships are currently held by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day, with the Irish pair proving extremely hard to dethrone.

Given their strong pedigree both in All Elite Wrestling as well as various other top wrestling promotions, the Lucha Bros would undoubtedly deserve a shot at Balor and McDonagh on arrival and a title change so soon into their debuts would not come as a shock if it were to take place.

Whilst the Lucha Bros have never faced either member of The Judgment Day before, Balor and JD's hard-hitting style would certainly be a familiar and welcoming one for the masked stars if they choose to make the switch from AEW to World Wrestling Entertainment.

#1 - WWE's greatest modern duo could reunite to take on Fenix and Penta

One team that many fans would like to see the Lucha Bros face off against is a team that first needs to get back together, that being Jimmy and Jey, The Usos.

The brothers have not teamed for over a year, with their rivalry coming to blows at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year when they faced off against each other.

Despite their friction, Jey Uso stated in an interview with ESPN ahead of their match in April that he is very open to teaming with Jimmy again after their feud finishes.

"If you’re down to level back up with me and just be tight, we can go out there and hash it out in front of the whole world. But I promise you, I would leave mine in the ring. I’m always going to love you. You’re my twin brother, alright? Whatever happens after this, I’m always going to love you. I would love to just [clap]… After the one, two, three, whether it be me or you, man, we could be The Usos again."

With Jimmy having been kicked out of The Bloodline and Jey thriving on RAW, all signs do seem to point to a potential reunion.

If that indeed does happen, then what better way for the newly reformed Usos to test themselves than to take on WWE's potentially newest and hottest tag team, the Lucha Bros.
