Why did Becky Lynch beat Ronda Rousey in the beat the clock challenge

WWE started off Monday Night Raw in a way that they seldom do.

Instead of having some never-ending talking segment or an ambush that leads to a match later in the night, the company started Raw off with a beat the clock challenge featuring Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte. The three women would take on The Riott squad in individual matches to determine who could beat their opponent the fastest.

With that being said and Becky Lynch winning The Beat the clock challenge by seven seconds, one has to wonder why exactly the company would do that something like this Beyond that, one has to wonder the implications of what doing so will create as The Road To WrestleMania 35 continues.

While it's impossible to know for sure exactly why WWE gave Becky Lynch the win, after all, was said and done, but here are the four reasons that make the most sense. As always, let us know in the comments below and be sure to tell us why you think Lynch ended up winning the beat the clock challenge.

It was the perfect storm.

WWE had just announced hours ago that Becky Lynch versus Ronda Rousey versus Charlotte Flair would the main event this year's WrestleMania and wanted to capitalize on the mainstream attention the story got by having the women kick off the show. Not only was it a chance for WWE to show incoming fans what all the fuss is about, but it also served as a great way to keep longtime fans intrigued with the upcoming title match.

Ronda Rousey's intense pre-match promo also added an electrifying feel to the segment, which is only going to get more interesting as time goes on. If nothing else, the segment was a huge risk for the company, but with Lynch winning the challenge and new fans being brought in thanks to the attention, it seems like it worked!
