4 heel turns that could take place at WWE Money in the Bank 2024 - Change to major faction, former champions to split up?
WWE's next big Premium Live Event is just a few weeks away with Money in the Bank 2024. The big show will be airing live from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and should be an epic event. Money in the Bank is often one of the promotion's most popular shows of the year.
So far, only a handful of matches have been confirmed for the show. This includes Seth Rollins vs. Damian Priest, a Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and a Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Still, the show will certainly feature many big stars, noteworthy moments, and perhaps surprises.
For example, Money in the Bank 2024 could end up having some shocking heel turns that leave fans in disbelief. There are several stars who look as though they could take a villainous path soon. This article will look at a handful of names who could potentially turn heel at the big show in Toronto.
Below are four heel turns that could take place at WWE Money in the Bank 2024.
#4. The Creed Brothers could turn heel to join Chad Gable
The Creed Brothers are a popular tag team on WWE Monday Night RAW consisting of real-life brothers and excellent amateur wrestlers Brutus Creed and Julius Creed. Prior to signing with RAW, they held the NXT Tag Team Titles together.
The duo had a lot of success on WWE NXT and seemingly were poised to have a similar level of success on the main roster, but things went south. Julius Creed and Brutus Creed lost in their pursuit of tag team gold and after their battle with The Judgment Day the two have lost most of their screen time and rarely compete in a meaningful way.
This could change if they link up with Chad Gable. The duo have been seen with him backstage a few times now and many believe they'll turn heel by attacking Otis and Akira Tozawa before aligning themselves with Master Gable. Who knows, Ivy Nile could potentially join them too.
#3. Jade Cargill could betray Bianca Belair
Jade Cargill is a physical phenomenon. Capable of athletic high-flying and a powerhouse like few others, Cargill is a former All Elite Wrestling star who made the jump to WWE last year. The move has paid off, as Jade is already a big deal.
The X-Men superhero brought to life has been aligned with one of the best wrestlers in WWE: Bianca Belair. The two united during the build to WrestleMania and proceeded to win the Women's Tag Team Titles from Damage CTRL.
Unfortunately, Jade lost the Women's Tag Team Titles alongside The EST in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match. The Unholy Union's Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn ultimately won gold, albeit not by pinning the champions.
Jade and Bianca could be on a crusade to win the gold back and ultimately fail, which could then lead to Cargill betraying and turning on Belair at Money in the Bank 2024. This would then set the two up for a SummerSlam match.
#2. Xavier Woods could turn since The New Day are teasing a split
The New Day are one of the greatest stables and tag teams in WWE history. The group initially consisted of Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E. Unfortunately, E suffered a serious neck injury in 2022 and hasn't returned to the ring.
Recently, some tension appears to be brewing with the duo. The Final Testament's Karrion Kross is trying to drive a wedge between them and based on facial expressions from Xavier during WWE RAW, Kross' plans may be working.
As a result, Woods could shockingly betray Kofi come Money in the Bank. If Kofi is in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, a bitter Xavier could shockingly cost Kingston the win out of spite. This would kickstart their feud.
#1. Randy Orton could turn on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes
Randy Orton is one of the most decorated athletes in WWE history, but even he has had his hands full with The Bloodline. In fact, his issues even boiled over with a six-man brawl at Clash at the Castle Scotland alongside Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
Nothing is clear regarding The Viper's direction at the upcoming Premium Live Event. He could end up part of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but given his history of back injuries, that feels unlikely.
Instead, he, Cody, and Owens could end up battling The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. In the end, Orton could shockingly betray The American Nightmare and make it clear that he wants the Undisputed WWE Title sooner rather than later.
