4 mistakes Triple H must not make on WWE SmackDown tonight
Triple H appeared on the October 25 edition of WWE SmackDown to reveal that he was trying to protect Randy Orton from Kevin Owens. However, upon pursuation he eventually booked Owens vs Orton at Crown Jewel, and it was a major mistake. The two stars were unable to control themselves in Saudi Arabia and their clash never got underway after it devolved into a brawl.
Tonight's episode of SmackDown will emanate from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, and is the first edition of the blue brand following the recently concluded premium live event in Saudi Arabia. Triple H must look to avoid making more mistakes tonight as the company tries to capitalize on the momentum from Crown Jewel this past Saturday night.
Listed below are four potential mistakes that Triple H must not make tonight on WWE SmackDown:
#4. Triple H must ensure that major rivalry is over on WWE SmackDown
LA Knight successfully defended his United States Championship against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes in a Triple Threat Match at Crown Jewel over the weekend. Knight served as the special guest referee for the seventh match between El Idolo and Hayes last month on SmackDown.
The Megastar got involved in the action and hit both stars with a BFT, resulting in SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis booking the Triple Threat Match at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia.
Triple H must ensure that the rivalry between WWE Speed Champion Andrade and Carmelo Hayes is finished for the time being. The two stars have terrific chemistry in the ring, but fans are likely sick of watching them compete only against each other.
#3. The King of Kings must find a viable opponent for Nia Jax on SmackDown
Nia Jax has been dominant thus far as the WWE Women's Champion but suffered a surprising loss at Crown Jewel. Liv Morgan got the better of The Irresistible Force to capture the inaugural Women's Crown Jewel Championship.
Bayley lost the title to Jax at SummerSlam and then failed to dethrone the veteran in their rematch at Bad Blood last month. Triple H needs to make sure that Jax's next opponent is someone fans can get behind in a rivalry against the dominant champion.
Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax should repair their friendship after Crown Jewel to continue to tease The Buff Barbie's Money in the Bank cash-in on SmackDown.
#2. WWE needs to take its time before turning Randy Orton heel
Kevin Owens decided to betray Cody Rhodes and turn heel following WWE Bad Blood. The Prizefighter attacked The American Nightmare in the parking lot and then went after Randy Orton in the weeks that followed on SmackDown. Their singles match never started at Crown Jewel, and The Viper hit RAW General Manager Adam Pearce with an RKO.
There is still a story to be told with Orton and Owens, as fans did not get to see a match between the two veterans at Crown Jewel. Triple H must ensure that this rivalry is complete, before potentially turning The Apex Predator heel for a feud against the Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes.
#1. Triple H needs to make sure Roman Reigns is not attacked on SmackDown
Sami Zayn accidentally hit Roman Reigns with a Helluva Kick at WWE Crown Jewel this past Saturday in Saudi Arabia. The former Intercontinental Champion was aiming for Solo Sikoa, but the leader of the new Bloodline managed to duck out of harm's way, and Zayn struck the Original Tribal Chief instead.
On the following edition of RAW, Jey Uso invited Zayn to tonight's SmackDown to talk things over with Roman Reigns. As the company's Chief Content Officer, Triple H must make sure that another attack from The Bloodline does not go down during tonight's show.
If another attack does take place tonight, Reigns could potentially be taken out ahead of WWE Survivor Series 2024, and that might not bode well with fans around the world.
