4 Mistakes Triple H shouldn’t make with Penta in WWE

Monday Night RAW aired on the USA Network and WWE fans loved the show. There were several long matches, including two championship bouts, that took up the bulk of the program.

Naturally, there were segments with promos, video packages, interviews, and even backstage fighting. One of the most notable was a mysterious vignette that showed a zero with a line through it. This has led many to believe that the mysterious vignette was for Penta El Zero Miedo, aka Pentagon Jr. Penta worked for All Elite Wrestling until recently and has been rumored to be WWE-bound.

If the video was indeed for Penta and he will soon be arriving, Triple H and company officials need to be careful in how they present the star. This article will take a look at a handful of mistakes The Game should avoid making with Penta if he is indeed the man behind the vignette.

Below are four mistakes Triple H shouldn’t make with Penta in WWE.

#4. He must not be part of the Latino World Order

The Latino World Order is a faction on WWE Monday Night RAW. It is comprised of Rey Mysterio, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, Dragon Lee, and Zelina Vega. While successful, they have been somewhat out of the limelight in recent months.

Still, the group is excellent. Unfortunately, however, Triple H has gained a bit of a reputation with Latino stars. Many on social media believe any time a Mexican performer shows up in WWE, they are immediately associated with or feuding with the Latino World Order.

Whether that is fair or accurate or not, it would be a mistake to have Penta immediately working with the group for this very reason. Instead, he should do his own thing and clash with them in the future. Rey Mysterio or Dragon Lee vs. Penta sounds great, but not yet. His teaming up with them sounds even better, but not at first.

#3. WWE can't have him lose major matches immediately upon debuting

Wins and losses are hotly debated in pro wrestling. With the exceptions of streaks, such as that of The Undertaker and Goldberg, it could be argued that wins and losses don't actually mean that much in WWE.

Instead, presentation tends to be more important. If a star is treated like a big deal, fans will believe they are one. If the story is interesting enough, wins and losses don't mean as much. Bayley's rise in WWE in 2024 is an example of overcoming many defeats.

Still, when someone is new to the company, losing right away immediately makes fans feel a talent is less than those around him. As a result, Triple H would be wise to have Penta remain undefeated in singles competition for quite a while. After a few months, a loss can come, but even Andrade, who is a former champion, went many months without getting pinned. Penta should receive similar treatment.

#2. Penta El Zero Miedo shouldn't be made to do long in-ring promos

WWE is a global promotion. With the move to Netflix, this will become more clear than ever, as the company will be available to more intentional homes and more easily accessible than perhaps ever before.

With that being said, the bulk of WWE's viewers are still English speakers. The product is still primarily based in the United States. As a result, stars who speak languages other than English sometimes struggle with in-ring promos, especially when fans can obnoxiously chant "what" or otherwise not react.

Penta shouldn't fall victim to this. Outside of his catchphrase, his presentation should be similar to that of Shinsuke Nakamura's. Video packages with subtitles will be a lot more effective than if Triple H attempts to have the Lucha Bros star try long in-ring promos in broken English or in Spanish.

#1. Above all else, Triple H shouldn't change what works

Triple H and Vince McMahon are very different professional wrestling bookers. When Vince McMahon led WWE if new talent were brought to his company or even called up from NXT, McMahon would want to change them, their image, and what made them special.

For the most part, it doesn't appear Triple H operates in the same manner. If someone is truly successful, he seems to prefer to capitalize on that and push them in a strong manner as opposed to changing them just because they're now in WWE.

With that being said, it is crucial that Triple H doesn't change what has proven to already work. There is an expression that goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Grammar problems aside, the lesson in that statement is if something works, let it keep working. The Game should let Penta be Penta and it will work out far better than if he tries to change things.
