4 non-RAW superstars who are advertised to appear on the debut episode on Netflix
A couple of days from now, the WWE Universe will be pouring into the Intuit Dome for RAW on Netflix. The show will be a huge event, as WWE will be switching from traditional TV to an OTT streaming service for the first time. But, what can the fans expect to see on this big night?
Well, a couple of big matches have already been advertised, most of which feature some big-name RAW superstars. This includes the likes of Liv Morgan versus Rhea Ripley, as well as CM Punk and Seth Rollins settling their blood feud. However, there is one match scheduled for Netflix that also features two stars from the sports entertainment company's other weekly show, SmackDown.
Roman Reigns will challenge his fellow SmackDown superstar, Solo Sikoa for the Ula Fala. But, this begs the question, who are some of the non-RAW superstars advertised to appear on the debut episode on Netflix? Well, here are four of them, who have been advertised in a recently released trailer.
#4. Cody Rhodes kicks off new advertisement for RAW on Netflix
The very first superstar in the new ad is none other than the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes. Rhodes hasn't been seen in WWE for a few weeks now, as he was decimated at Saturday Night's Main Event. Taking a Package Piledriver from Kevin Owens is no one's definition of fun, and that remains the case, seeing as he was stretchered out of the arena shortly after receiving it.
Nevertheless, there is a good chance the WWE Champion will be at RAW's debut episode on Netflix. Not only does he kick off the new advertisement, but he is also on the list of "featured superstars" on the WWE website. Taking all this into consideration, his presence should be a given come January 6, 2025.
#3. Randy Orton could make his comeback on the debut episode
Cody Rhodes isn't the only victim of Kevin Owens who could make his presence felt at RAW on Netflix. Randy Orton was in fact, the first person to fall to The Prizefighter. He too took a banned piledriver from KO and has been shelved since the SmackDown after WWE Crown Jewel.
However, if this advertisement is anything to go by, he will be there on January 6 in the Intuit Dome. In the video, the Viper can be seen delivering an RKO to another wrestler before hitting his iconic pose. It sure would be incredible to see him do the same on RAW.
#2. The EST, Bianca Belair is also a "featured superstar" on WWE's website
Joining Cody Rhodes in a unique position is Bianca Belair. The EST, much like The American Nightmare, is listed as a "featured superstar" for RAW on Netflix on WWE's website. Again, like Rhodes, she is not slated for a match, but her presence could lead to some revelation regarding her current storyline.
For those who don't remember, Belair lost her tag team partner, Jade Cargill before Survivor Series: WarGames. The search is still ongoing with regard to who the attacker was. Perhaps all will be revealed on the streaming platform.
#1. Becky Lynch could "come out of retirement" on January 6, 2025
Last, but certainly not the least, is Becky Lynch. This might surprise a few, especially considering The Man is listed as a RAW superstar on WWE's website. However, it is important to remember that as of this writing, she is still technically out of contract. Lynch left after a devastating loss to Liv Morgan on the RAW after the King and Queen of the Ring PLE.
That being said, if the new ad is anything to go by, she will be on the debut episode of RAW on Netflix. The 37-year-old can be seen in the video for a brief moment, as are a slew of other stars. If she were to make her return on January 6, it would be a huge moment.
