4 potential challengers for The Judgment Day following WWE RAW win
WWE has brand new champions following the most recent edition of Monday Night RAW. Awesome Truth put their coveted World Tag Team Titles on the line, but unfortunately lost the gold.
The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh dethroned the popular champions. The Irish stars were granted the match thanks to Liv Morgan manipulating R-Truth into asking Adam Pearce for a match, much to The Miz's chagrin.
Despite not wanting a match, Awesome Truth nearly were close to retaining their titles. However there was a significant amount of interference and Liv Morgan ultimately hung up R-Truth on the ropes. This caused enough damage for Finn Balor to strike and led to new champions being crowned.
Now that The Judgment Day hold gold again, all eyes are on who their future challengers will be. Excluding The Awesome Truth, who will likely want to have a chance to regain the gold in the future, which teams would want to step up to the new champions?
Below are four potential challengers for The Judgment Day following their win on WWE RAW.
#4. The New Catch Republic may be next in line
New Catch Republic are one of the best tag teams in all of pro wrestling. The WWE duo is comprised of Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. They were once part of a stable known as British Strong Style and have even been rivals at various points in the past.
The duo of Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne aren't new to The Judgment Day. The pair attempted to win the-then Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at Elimination Chamber Perth in Australia. Unfortunately, the numbers game was too much for the British stars.
Still, many believe that New Catch Republic should be champions and that their time will come. The Bruiserweight and The Big Strong Boy could speed up the process by stepping up and challenging Judgment Day sooner rather than later.
#3. Alpha Academy could challenge the champions
The Alpha Academy is a stable on WWE Monday Night RAW that was formed by Chad Gable. He first recruited his long-time friend Otis, and later added Maxxine Dupri in as the first graduate. Akira Tozawa then joined the ranks as a Junior Cadet.
However, the faction has been shaken up recently. Following Chad Gable's heel turn, he abused and mistreated the other members of his group. The trio have since walked out on him, thus leaving Master Gable on his own.
Now Akira Tozawa and Otis could set their sights on tag team glory. Otis is a former RAW Tag Team Champion so he knows what it takes to succeed. The two battling The Judgment Day would make for extremely entertaining television and could finally land Tozawa an opportunity to win major gold.
#2. A version of the Latino World Order could chase the gold
The Latino World Order is a faction currently on WWE's Monday Night RAW brand. Rey Mysterio is the leader of the group, but it also features Zelina Vega, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, and the incomparable Dragon Lee.
Unfortunately, the group has suffered a bit recently. Cruz Del Toro is currently injured. Meanwhile, both Carlito and Santos Escobar have turned on the WWE faction. Still, the stable pushes forward.
Some combination of Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Joaquin Wilde could team up to take on the Irish champions. Lee and Wilde, for example, would be one of the most exciting teams in wrestling. Alternatively, Rey teaming with either star would give them quite the rub.
#1. The Wyatt Sicks may want to takeover WWE
The Wyatt Sicks is the new dangerous stable currently taking hold of WWE. The faction is led by Uncle Howdy, but also features Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, Erick Rowan, and Dexter Lumis. Although these stars are yet to officially reveal themselves on television thanks to wearing masks.
The faction debuted during WWE RAW last week. Following Jey Uso picking up a big win, the stable invaded and laid out numerous backstage personnel and even Chad Gable. They then made their impact felt this week, albeit without violence.
The Judgment Day are the top stable on RAW, but that could change with the introduction of The Wyatt Sicks. Perhaps Joe Gacy and Erick Rowan could team up to face Finn and JD. Some version of the stable challenging the Irish stars would be extremely exciting.
