4 precautions Drew McIntyre must take at WWE Money in the Bank to prevent CM Punk's interference

WWE Monday Night RAW dramatically changed the landscape of one key match. The 2024 Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match had one last star added to the bout and this man could very well be the winner.

Drew McIntyre battled Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov in the main event. While the Triple Threat Match was epic, it wasn't so great for The Celtic Warrior and The Mad Dragon, as it was Drew who won the match and will now be part of the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

While that's great news for Drew, it isn't all peachy. The Scottish Psychopath has been at war with CM Punk over the past few months despite both superstars battling injuries. Punk has made it clear he never wants Drew to hold a world title again and he surely knows that the Money in the Bank briefcase could lead to a title reign.

As a result, Punk interfering at Money in the Bank to stop Drew from winning the briefcase feels possible. This article will take a look at a handful of things McIntyre can do to make sure Punk can't get at him and cost the Scot a major win.

Below are four precautions Drew McIntyre must take at WWE Money in the Bank to prevent CM Punk's interference.

#4. He needs to scope out the backstage area to make sure CM Punk isn't around

The arenas in which WWE tends to host shows are quite large. With the exception of NXT and the Performance Center, most venues the company uses can hold anywhere from five thousand to twenty thousand people. This doesn't even include stadium shows.

As a result, it is very easy for talent to sneak around these massive buildings, but Drew McIntyre cannot allow CM Punk to do that at WWE Money in the Bank 2024. On the contrary, he needs to be proactive in making sure The Voice Of The Voiceless isn't around.

The Scottish Psychopath will need to walk around the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and make sure that CM Punk is nowhere to be seen. As long as CM Punk isn't in the building, Drew will be safe. If he does spot the former world champion, Drew can take care of him before the match even takes place.

#3. Drew McIntyre needs to be sure CM Punk isn't hiding under the ring

CM Punk hiding backstage or sneaking around catering isn't unrealistic, but it would be harder for him to avoid getting seen by somebody. It may be easy to avoid Drew McIntyre at the WWE venue, but there could be others who spot Punk and alert the Scottish star of his presence.

As a result, a star as smart as Punk may opt to hide somewhere nobody will spot him: under the ring. This means he can pop out during the match and take care of Drew McIntyre without anybody ever seeing it coming. Even Michael Cole and the other staff could miss Punk's presence.

Just to be safe, it would be wise for Drew to scope out the area under the ring both before the show and perhaps before his match. There are ladders in the way, but he should be able to see a human body.

#2. He needs to keep his eyes peeled for AJ Lee

CM Punk doesn't have a lot of friends in wrestling. He is known for burning bridges and making enemies wherever he goes. That doesn't mean he lacks those close to him, however. In fact, CM Punk's closest friend is his wife and a former WWE star.

The Straight Edge Messiah is married to AJ Lee. The former WWE star held the Divas Championship on more than one occasion and even served as a General Manager at one point in time. She retired not too long after Punk left the company a decade ago.

McIntyre made the mistake of mocking CM Punk's fan-made bracelet that references Punk's dog and AJ. As a result, AJ Lee could show up and push McIntyre off a ladder as revenge. Drew needs to keep his eyes peeled and hope the former Divas Champion doesn't show up.

#1. Drew could get backup from WWE NXT stars Gallus

Gallus is a tag team that was initially on NXT UK before moving to the NXT brand. The group is comprised of real-life brothers Joe Coffey and Mark Coffey along with a fellow Scot in Wolfgang.

The trio has been in WWE developmental for a while and many believe a call-up will happen sooner rather than later. While that remains to be seen, Drew McIntyre could enlist the help of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang at Money in the Bank.

Supposing the trio wants to support their fellow Scottish superstar, they could keep an eye out for CM Punk. If the Straight Edge Superstar attempts to get into Drew's business, the heels could attack. This could make McIntyre even more dangerous, but more importantly, help him win Money in the Bank.
