4 Reasons why Chad Gable should win the Men’s WWE Money in the Bank ladder match
WWE's next big premium live event is just over a week away. The Sports Entertainment will host Money in the Bank live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on July 6th, 2024.
Naturally, the main focus of this big show each year is the two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches. One features male competitors, and the other features stars from the women's division. A briefcase is awarded to each of the two winners.
The Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match is beginning to take shape. Jey Uso was the first to earn entry into the match, followed by Carmelo Hayes and Andrade. Chad Gable was the latest to earn his way into the bout.
Not only is Gable confirmed for the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but he should arguably be the one who wins the entire thing. This article will take a look at a handful of reasons why the former Olympian should become the new Mr. Money in the Bank.
#4. Chad Gable is extremely talented in all aspects of wrestling
WWE has a wealth of talented performers up and down the card across all three brands. From Randy Orton to Sami Zayn to Axiom to Jacob Fatu to Gunther, there is a near-never-ending list of high-quality talent.
Still, out of the impressive stars the Sports Entertainment juggernaut has under contract, Chad Gable is arguably the best. He is an incredible in-ring competitor who can do strength-based wrestling, submissions, mat wrestling, grappling, and even take to the skies.
His in-ring psychology is as good as or better than almost anybody in or out of WWE, and Gable can even talk on the microphone. He is the total package regarding the skills he brings to the table, which is exactly why the Olympian should win the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match.
#3. He is on fire as a heel
For a long time, Chad Gable was used as a comedic heel under Vince McMahon. When the former chairman left WWE, Gable became a babyface alongside Alpha Academy. While he was still hilarious, Gable became a bit more serious, too, and he showed star potential.
Now, however, he's not only far more serious, but Chad is an aggressive heel. He constantly berates Akira Tozawa, Otis, and Maxxine Dupri and gets incredible heat from the audience. He feels like a big star and gets a reaction from the WWE Universe fitting for that position.
Given how good he is as a heel and the reaction the audience is giving him, Chad winning Money in the Bank makes sense. He has earned a push to the next level, and the briefcase is a perfect launching pad for a heel.
#2. Gable recently re-signed with WWE, so he'll be around long-term
Another key reason why Chad Gable should be the one to win the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the big premium live event comes down to stability. This is due to a recent revelation made by the man himself.
For weeks, WWE fans speculated about his future in the Sports Entertainment juggernaut due to reports of his contract expiring. Just recently, Gable revealed that he has signed a new deal with the company, meaning he will be around for several years.
Master Gable's signing of a new contract means that Triple H will have some stability. If Gable wins Money in the Bank, there is no concern about Chad leaving while holding the briefcase or in the middle of a title reign. He is a safe bet and one the company can feel comfortable investing its time in.
#1. He failed to win the Intercontinental Championship
Chad Gable's goal in WWE over the past year or so hasn't been a secret. He has made it his mission to win the Intercontinental Championship. His first target was Gunther, and he tried to dethrone The Ring General a few times but failed.
He later helped Sami Zayn win the WWE Intercontinental Championship and attempted to defeat Sami for the belt, but again failed to win the gold on multiple occasions. Chad has since been told he's going to the back of the line.
This is where winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match comes in. Master Gable should win the briefcase so he can use it to cash in on the Intercontinental Title. This puts him at the front of the line and thus allows him to go for gold at the most reasonable time.
