4 Reasons Seth Rollins might not reclaim the Universal Championship at SummerSlam

3 Time Champ!

After weeks of teasing, the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar finally cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins to become a 3-time Universal Champion at Extreme Rules. Lesnar and Rollins made history by being the only two men to successfully cash-in their MITB contracts on each other.

We are officially back in the era of the Beast Incarnate, and people have already started to complain about WWE's decision to put the title on Lesnar once again. We can be sure Vince McMahon & the new Executive Directors would've had a lengthy discussion before deciding to go ahead with a Lesnar win.

As expected, the former champion Seth Rollins earned another shot at the title after winning a 10-man cross-brand battle royal on this week’s episode of Raw. He won the match after eliminating a returning Randy Orton, and he now has a chance at redemption when he faces Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

Rollins vowed to make SummerSlam look like WrestleMania all over again and said he would conquer the beast to reclaim his title. While the fans would love to see Rollins beat Lesnar once again the chances of that happening are very thin. Here are five reasons to justify the claim.

#4 Brock could be a regular champion during this reign

The major criticism the fans had for Brock Lesnar during his previous reigns was his status as a part-time champion. WWE had a very stressful time running things on Monday Night Raw without an appearance from the Universal Champion, but it could be the other way around this time.

Lesnar was in a dilemma to choose between staying in the WWE or returning to the Octagon during his previous reigns. He even entered the USADA drug-testing pool to return to MMA and also had a confrontation with UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 226.

While all signs hinted at Lesnar leaving the WWE for UFC, he announced his apparent retirement from MMA earlier this year. That could be a sign that the WWE Universe might see more of Brock Lesnar on their television screens than before. That could be the potential reason behind WWE giving him the MITB contract and putting the Universal title on him at Extreme Rules.

If that is the case, we cannot expect Seth Rollins to reclaim the Universal title at SummerSlam, and Lesnar's reign might continue until Vince McMahon finds the right person to dethrone the Beast.
