4 reasons why Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks should main event WWE Hell in a Cell 2019

This should main event the show.
This should main event the show.

Hell in a Cell is WWE's next pay-per-view event, taking place in less than two weeks. The two marquee matches of the show are set, both happening inside the unforgiving steel structure. Seth Rollins will defend the Universal Championship against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt while his fiancé, Becky Lynch, will face Sasha Banks in a rematch from Clash of Champions.

The Legit Boss has set her sights on The Man's RAW Women's Championship and after the inconclusive finish to their match at the last pay-per-view, the two will settle their score inside Hell in a Cell. And while either match could feasibly main event the entire show, it should be this one that ends the night. Women main eventing pay-per-views have become a common occurrence, happening in the most natural circumstances.

Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks seems like one of those natural circumstances. Here are four reasons why they should be the main event of the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, and not Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt.

#4 A call-back to 2016

This match made a lot of history.
This match made a lot of history.

If Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks close out the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, it would not be the first time that this show was main-evented by the women. In 2016, the Legit Boss defended her RAW Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair inside Hell in a Cell and it was the first-ever all-female pay-per-view main event in WWE history. The match, while rough and slightly unpretty at times, did well to showcase the animosity between Sasha and Charlotte.

In giving Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch the main event, it presents them with the opportunity to reach the levels that Charlotte vs Sasha hit at its peak. The second-ever women's Hell in a Cell match will surely be more polished, having learned from the first, and are better poised to be an effective end to an eventful pay-per-view. The fact that Sasha lost to Charlotte brings about some storyline and psychological possibilities to the match, especially if it is the main event of the pay-per-view.
