4 Reasons why Brock Lesnar should not defeat Kofi Kingston to become the WWE Champion
On the September 17 episode of SmackDown Live, WWE stunned its audience and Kofi Kingston as Brock Lesnar returned to the Blue Brand.
Not only did Lesnar make an appearance at the show, but his advocate Paul Heyman also laid down a challenge to Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. Continuing his reign and promise of being a fighting Champion, the New Day member wasted little time in accepting the challenge and ate an F5 from Lesnar for his troubles.
The October 4 episode of SmackDown, where the Blue Brand will make its debut on FOX, will see the match play out involving two veteran Superstars of WWE.
While beating Lesnar inside the squared circle is an uphill task, watching him manhandle his opponents is also not for the faint-hearted.
In this article, we will look at the four reasons why Brock Lesnar should not win the WWE Championship from Kofi Kingston.
#4 There are far too many heels and heel Champions on SmackDown
After the Clash of Champions pay-per-view, where The Revival defeated The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, we now have a brand filled with heel champions.
Of course there is always a chance of titles changing hands at any moment, but currently, the SmackDown Tag titles, the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and the Intercontinental Championship are all in the hands of heels. This leaves Kofi the odd one out as the only babyface holding gold on the Blue Brand.
Couple that with the heels on the roster, and you have a dilemma where there aren’t enough deserving babyface challengers for all the championships.
A change of character for a Superstar can happen overnight, but if Lesnar wins the WWE Championship, the most likely first challengers will have to be Roman Reigns or Daniel Bryan as babyfaces.
