Rumors have been circulating that Dean Ambrose in all likelihood is going to stick with WWE and would be signing an extension very soon with the promotion. The news has come out after months of speculation where even WWE gave out an official statement where they stated that Dean Ambrose would not be signing an extension and was going to leave once his contract expired.
There were reports of Dean's frustration reaching a breaking point and the star not being happy at all with the direction his character had taken for a long time now. But apparently, it does seem like both teams have been able to reach an agreement and Dean will be signing an extension deal with WWE, and in turn, prolong his stay with the company.
For WWE it does mean great news after a long time, as the company has been in a bad shape for a while now with so many wrestlers asking for releases, the ratings being nowhere close to their lofty standards, and more importantly, the threat from AEW becoming more and more potent.
There are many reasons why Dean leaving would have been a body blow for the company, and hence we look at a few reasons why WWE would be happy to re-sign Dean Ambrose.
#1 He's different
![The way he talks and the way he carries himself is much different from your typical performer](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/03/56c36-15517858745797-800.jpg)
You look at Dean, you look at his attitude, you look at the way he talks, the way he conducts himself, and then you realize he's just one of a kind. He's not your everyday babyface wrestler, neither is he suited to the role of a cowardly heel. He's an unhinged character who does things his way, he's an original who just doesn't fit the mold, and because of this, he has won over the crowd.
One of the reasons why the heel turn was such a massive failure was because Dean was just not that character at all, and things just didn't seem to make any sense. But then when he was allowed to express himself, Dean many a time was able to leave a lasting impression in his segments. Any promotion would love to have a character like that.
