4 Shows coming to WWE Network and Peacock this weekend - Roman Reigns returns to SmackDown, world champion interviewed

WWE Network and Peacock had a jam-packed weekend last week, thanks to Bash in Berlin and No Mercy 2024. Unfortunately, fans of both platforms won't have nearly as much programming to enjoy this time.

The week featured the bare minimum of new programming, but there is still new content to enjoy. For example, a new episode of RAW Talk streamed on Monday Night. Meanwhile, Tuesday saw a week-old episode of NXT added to the archives.

Wednesday also featured a past program arriving on-demand, this time a month-old episode of Monday Night RAW. To wrap up the week in style, a new episode of This Week In WWE was added to the archives of both platforms on Thursday.

This weekend won't be busier than the four days that preceded it, but there is new content to check out. Four new full-length shows are scheduled to arrive on-demand from Friday through Sunday. This article will examine each new upload scheduled to stream.

#4. The SmackDown LowDown will return after a week off

The SmackDown LowDown will be back with a brand new episode this weekend. After taking last week off thanks to Bash in Berlin's early start time, the new episode will be streaming on WWE Network and Peacock on Saturday, September 7,

The series features Megan Morant and Scott Stanford teaming up to break down the action from Friday Night SmackDown the prior night. The pair then went on to three interviews filmed at the building during the SmackDown event.

While The SmackDown LowDown didn't air last week, the prior edition is available on-demand, and the interview portion can be seen in the video above. It begins with the unlikely duo of Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin chatting.

The other two interviews feature current champions. The Women's Champion of the blue brand, Nia Jax, was next to chat. WWE Speed Champion Andrade was the final star interviewed on the show.

#3. WWE Main Event & #2. Friday Night SmackDown, two recent shows will be added on-demand

Two recently aired shows on other platforms will arrive on WWE Network and Peacock this weekend. These include Friday Night SmackDown, which first airs on FOX, and Main Event, which first streams on Hulu. Both programs arrive on other platforms on a delay due to contractual obligations with their partners.

WWE Main Event from August 22, 2024, will be added to the archives on Saturday, September 7. This show was headlined by Lyra Valkyria, who is taking on NXT's Lola Vice. Additionally, Ilja Dragunov vs. Dante Chen is on the card.

Friday Night SmackDown from August 9, 2024, will be available on-demand on Sunday, September 8. This was an oversized edition of the blue brand, as it featured the return of Roman Reigns, who hadn't appeared on an episode of SmackDown since before WrestleMania 40. He went on to destroy The Bloodline while the crowd cheered him on.

#1. NXT Level Up will stream

WWE NXT Level Up will be back with another new episode this week. The NXT b-show will be streaming across both platforms on Friday, September 6, beginning at 10 PM EST, which immediately follows the last-ever SmackDown on FOX.

For those unaware, NXT Level Up is a weekly show that typically features three matches, although sometimes just two bouts are included. Until recently, it was primarily matches, but angles and promos are being featured more.

The main event of NXT Level Up this week will see The Gatekeeper Dante Chen in action, as he'll take on the imposing Drake Morreaux. The mighty Izzie Dame will go one-on-one with Layla Diggs, and Lainey Reid will take on the spectacular Dani Palmer.
