4 signs Bayley will win at WWE Clash at the Castle Scotland
WWE's next Premium Live Event will be taking place on Saturday this week. The Sports Entertainment titan will be hosting the 2024 iteration of Clash at the Castle. This year, the show will once again be held in the United Kingdom, but not in Wales.
Instead, Clash at the Castle will take place live from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. Over 10,000 fans are expected to be in attendance for what should be one of the most excited and vocal crowds of the year. The card is looking absolutely stacked and several Scottish performers will be in action.
One such Scottish star is Piper Niven. The powerful woman will be going one-on-one with Bayley in an attempt to win her first world title. While Piper is no doubt a great competitor, this is a match The Role Model will likely win.
There are several reasons why Bayley will inevitably retain her title at Clash at the Castle Scotland. This article will take a look at a handful of signs that point to her impending success.
Below are four signs Bayley will win at WWE Clash at the Castle Scotland.
#4. Piper Niven hasn't been built up enough to be champion yet
Piper Niven is a fantastic pro wrestler. Even prior to joining WWE, she had a lot of success in the United Kingdom, Europe, and Japan. She has since joined the Sports Entertainment juggernaut and has competed on all three brands and the now-defunct NXT UK.
On paper, her resume is quite impressive. In execution, however, things haven't been great for the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion at a consistent level. From her call up to RAW as Doudrop until the middle of 2023, Piper's push on television was very much a start-stop.
Even in the last year, she hasn't been treated like a destructive force until the past few weeks. While Niven is absolutely worthy of winning a world title, she just hasn't been built up enough, nor treated as a threat for long enough to dethrone Bayley.
#3. The Scottish star is still part of a tag team
Beyond the fact that Piper Niven hasn't been pushed heavily in WWE throughout most of her tenure, there is another anchor preventing her from winning the world title at Clash at the Castle. That, of course, is Chelsea Green.
Chelsea Green went through tag team partners at a rapid pace last year. She united with Carmella until The Princess Of Staten Island became pregnant and left. She then won the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles with Sonya Deville, but The Jersey Devil was injured almost immediately.
Thankfully, Piper and Chelsea united soon after and clicked. While the pair have been fun and a successful duo, it wouldn't make sense for Niven to dethrone Bayley tomorrow when the tandem remains an active team. If there was a split prior to this show, perhaps a win would make more sense.
#2. Bayley's reign as WWE Women's Champion feels like it has only just begun
Bayley is one of the most beloved superstars in wrestling today. Despite spending several years as a villain, fans took to her immediately following her babyface turn and subsequent capturing of the WWE Women's Championship.
The Role Model defeated IYO SKY to win the belt and then went on to defend the gold successfully against both Naomi and Tiffany Stratton. Now Bayley's focus is on Piper Niven after just over two months as champion.
Due to the fact that Bayley's reign has barely gotten started, it is unlikely Piper Niven will take the title. The Role Model has so much more to offer as a champion and can help elevate both the title and the division by working with other stars in an ongoing run as the titleholder.
#1. Nia Jax vs Piper Niven isn't an attractive SummerSlam match
Nia Jax has had quite the run in WWE. While her first period with the company led to her winning the RAW Women's Championship and tag team gold, it is this run that has truly made fans respect the intimidating star for her in-ring talent. Nia has stepped up her game considerably and even her haters have turned the corner.
The dominant and imposing Jax won the 2024 Queen of the Ring Tournament. She managed to defeat Naomi, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Lyra Valkyria, thus earning her a crown and a title opportunity at SummerSlam.
While Piper Niven vs. Nia Jax would be a fascinating match to watch, with the build Piper has had and given that both powerful women are heels, it doesn't feel worthy for SummerSlam. Bayley, one of the most beloved stars on the roster, battling a vicious monster heel feels much more SummerSlam-worthy.
