4 Signs Dominik Mysterio is winning World Heavyweight Championship

Dominik Mysterio is one step away from his dream of becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion. On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Dirty Dom faced former World Champion and former faction mate Damian Priest in the main event.

In a shocking turn of events, the 27-year-old superstar defeated Damian Priest with the help of Judgment Day and has now secured a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

In this article, we take a look at four valid points that prove Dominik Mysterio is surely winning the World Heavyweight Title.

#4. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan will be the ultimate champion couple of WWE

Since Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan aligned, they have brought plenty of attention to the product. Pairing them has brought a different dynamic to the current storylines in the Stamford-based promotion.

Plenty of heel factions in past years who managed to attract significant heat and fan interest were crowned champions later; prime examples would be The Bloodline and The Judgment Day. Triple H could continue the tradition and crown Dominik as a World Champion, with Liv Morgan already holding the Women's World Championship.

#3. Gunther could lose due to the interference of former Universal Champion

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg made a surprising appearance at Bad Blood 2024. The WCW legend was in the audience, alongside his wife and son, enjoying the show. Tensions quickly escalated after World Heavyweight Champion Gunther mocked the veteran and took personal shots at him.

The personal remarks triggered Da Man; he jumped the barricade to punish The Ring General for taking shots at him. However, before he could enter the ring, security stopped him. After Gunther left the ring, Triple H invited the former Universal Champion to the squared circle and raised the veteran's hand; the latter looked at the camera and said, "You're Next."

There’s a huge possibility that Goldberg could shockingly make an appearance during Dominik Mysterio and Gunther's title match and could cost The Ring General his championship. This could lead to an intense rivalry between the two powerhouses and can eventually build toward the retirement match the WWE legend was promised.

#2. Dominik Mysterio’s title reign could lead to a massive WrestleMania 41 match

Dominik Mysterio winning the World Heavyweight Championship would solidify him as a future megastar. However, the reign could be short, and Dirty Dom could drop the title to CM Punk.

Mysterio would stylistically be a safer and more reliable opponent to drop his title to Punk than Gunther. Punk's first match for WWE after his big return was against Dominik.

The Best in the World could capture the title, and later, the Stamford-based promotion could book Punk vs. Rollins for the title at WrestleMania 41. Previously, plans for this match were canceled at the last moment after The Voice of the Voiceless got injured at the 2023 Royal Rumble.

#1. Triple H’s reward for being an excellent heel

Dominik Mysterio’s name is definitely at the top for the most improved WWE superstar in recent years. He has been a total company guy, working almost every week and performing at plenty of live shows in the past two or three years.

Triple H could put the World Heavyweight Championship on Dominik as a reward for his growth, loyalty, and reliability toward the Stamford-based promotion. Dirty Dom has the potential to be a future WrestleMania main eventer, and he deserves to hold the big gold belt.
