There will be matches from; Raw, SmackDown, and 205 Live. Whereas, the NXT brand will host; NXT Takeover: New York the evening beforehand.
In recent months Raw and SmackDown has afforded stellar storylines. However, those involving championships have stolen the limelight. Notable examples being; Ronda Rousey's struggles with; Charlotte and Becky Lynch. Or similarly Kofi Kingston's path to the WWE Championship.
On April 7th WWE superstars will get their chance to shine. More importantly, obtain that coveted WrestleMania moment. Regardless of the match or opponent, fans should expect stellar entertainment. Who will walk out as champion?
# 4. Finn Balor.
At WrestleMania 34 Finn Balor challenged for the WWE Intercontinental Championship which included fellow wrestlers; The Miz and Seth Rollins. However, he was unsuccessful. Throughout 2018 Balor was under-utilized when you consider his obvious talents.
However, in 2019, Balor's fortunes would improve. Firstly, at Royal Rumble, he earned an opportunity to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. However, he was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, only one month later he has become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion by defeating Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley at WWE Elimination Chamber, (watch the video below).
At WrestleMania, Balor and Lashley will go head-to-head once more. But could fans expect Demon Finn Balor? Considering Balor's scarce portrayal of the Demon character, it is likely to happen and would improve their feud. With Balor as champion, it is beneficial. Firstly, the championship garners increased credibility. Finally, all parties involved can flourish and develop. What can we expect from Balor versus Lashley?
