4 Superstars that could follow Dean Ambrose out of WWE
With WWE itself coming out and releasing the news about the departure of Dean Ambrose as soon as his contract expires in April (even if this is reality or a work) it does in a way, show the situation that WWE is in right now and it's not wrong to say that there is a change in the landscape of pro-wrestling.
With AEW slowly and steadily signing up stars of proven caliber, it is starting to become more and more clear that there is a new player in the market and what that does is that it opens avenues for stars who are not really happy with their current surroundings. Dean Ambrose was in a similar predicament with his heel turn going absolutely nowhere and the character having lost direction for a while now.
AEW in every aspect does give a wrestler like Dean Ambrose a chance to probably fish for greener pastures and try and find success somewhere else. Just like Dean though, there are many wrestlers who are facing a similar predicament and could be on their way out of the company. Here we look at the wrestlers who could be following dean out of WWE.
#1 Finn Balor
How many times does this need to be spelled out? And how many times does Finn Balor need to prove himself time and time again? Balor is a legitimate superstar and he has just not been given his due in WWE ever since he has stepped up to the main roster from NXT.
He was promoted to Raw from NXT amid huge hype(and rightly so) and had probably one of the fastest rises to the top of the roster as he became the first Universal Champion a month after joining the main roster. Ever since then it has been pretty much a slippery slope for Finn Balor.
The Royal Rumble was the first occasion in a very long time when he fought for the Universal Title in a PPV and even then it was more of a case of him being the pitstop to Seth Rollins as the result was a foregone conclusion for the match between him and Brock Lesnar.
It's interesting and intriguing what plans are in place for Balor because with Ambrose leaving it does put in place a situation where the doors are now open for wrestlers who are not happy with their character progression to actually step out and do something different.
