#4 John Cena - SummerSlam
John Cena is probably the biggest asset of WWE right now. Despite his part-time status, his star power has not decreased even a bit and he is still capable of selling an entire arena just by appearing on that show for a few minutes. He has had many memorable moments in his wrestling career spanning over 15 years.
He is known to have great feuds with many wrestlers, incredible championship reigns, breath-taking performances in many stipulations and matches. But, even then nothing can top his record in Summerslam. From 2011 to 2016, Cena did not win a match at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
His latest win came in 2017 when he defeated Baron Corbin in the opening match. Before that, he won as part of the Team WWE when they defeated Nexus back in 2010. For 6 consecutive years (2010-16), he lost matches at the hands of CM Punk, Big Show, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles.
He has a win-loss record of 5-9, which is the worst record in this pay-per-view for any wrestler who has participated in as many matches. Although this is a record that no one would want in their resume, this article is not just about positive popularity. Cena is known for this SummerSlam's record.
