4 superstars who may never become world champions in WWE

The WWE Championship
The Biggest prize in all of professional wrestling...

World Wrestling Entertainment is the company that is arguably the ultimate target for each and every aspiring pro wrestler in the world. It's the survival of the fittest, and only the fittest get to the stage that is the WWE.

If there is anything else a wrestler can achieve other than performing for the world's biggest wrestling promotion, it would be to hold a world championship in the WWE. Over the years we have seen many wrestlers hold the prestigious championship, and the title reigns have elevated those wrestlers into the superstars that we know today.

However, not all superstars in the WWE get the opportunity to become World Champion. If we turn the pages of the WWE history books, we can see many legendary superstars who have never held a World Championship in the company.

The current WWE roster has more or less a similar star power and talented wrestlers that it had in the 90s and mid 2000s. Let's have a look at 4 superstars who may never become a world champion in the WWE.

#4 Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn
We may never see Sami Zayn hold the WWE Championship.

The man formerly known as 'El-Generico' has won numerous championships and accolades on the independent scenes before finding his way to the WWE. Since his arrival, he has held only the NXT Championship.

After his impressive run in the developmental territory of the WWE, Zayn found himself on the main roster and has had some interesting with superstars like John Cena, Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman. Unfortunately, that's all the time he would get on the main roster as he was not given a run with any major championship.

Now that he has reunited with Kevin Owens and will go on to face AJ Styles for the WWE Championship in a handicap match at the Royal Rumble, it is highly unlikely that either Zayn or Owens would walk out as the new WWE Champion.

While his best friend Kevin Owens is already an established superstar in the main roster with multiple title reigns under his belt, Zayn, on the other hand, has not come close to achieving the same level of success as that of his best friend, and most likely never will.
