4 things that could happen with Chad Gable on RAW

Chad Gable's name was intensely discussed and highlighted in the wrestling world over the last week. Gable had a nightmare on the June 17 edition of Monday Night RAW.

Otis finally broke free from his shackles and shoved Chad to the floor, seemingly heralding the implosion of the Alpha Academy. Gable's evening, however, turned from bad to worse as he was found in a heap of blood backstage during Uncle Howdy's terrorizing return.

All hope is not lost for the former Olympian as he will battle Braun Strowman and "Big" Bronson Reed for a spot in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder match. However, it is almost certain that Gable's night will end in tragedy.

On that note, let's look at four things that could happen with Chad Gable on RAW.

#4. Ilja Dragunov attacks Chad Gable to take his spot

After Master Gable was found unconscious backstage, speculation was rampant that Chad Gable would be removed from the Money in the Bank qualifier. Fears turned out to be true as Ilja Dragunov temporarily took his spot.

However, the decision was quickly reversed as Adam Pearce announced that Gable had been medically cleared to compete against Strowman and Reed. Dragunov was, subsequently, removed from contention.

If WWE wants to get extra smart, they could maneuver this dynamic into a storyline. The Mad Dragon, frustrated with Gable replacing him, could take matters into his own hands and viciously assault the former Olympian.

Pearce, with no other viable option, could reluctantly give the spot to Dragunov. The Mad Dragon and the former RAW Tag Team Champion could then enter into a short-term feud.

#3. The Alpha Academy costs their former leader another major opportunity

Following his heel turn earlier this year, Chad Gable quickly became one of the most despised figures on the main roster, receiving extremely negative reactions. The fans booed him for mistreating the Alpha Academy, especially Otis.

However, the Number One Guy finally lashed out at his master last week as he shoved him to the mat before walking backstage with Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri.

WWE could further the implosion angle by having Otis, Tozawa, and Dupri intentionally cost Gable another major opportunity. Not only would this allow for a sweet measure of revenge, but it would also fuel the narrative.

#2. Chad Gable is mysteriously found unconscious backstage

Uncle Howdy targeted Chad Gable last week, and this could become a recurring theme as Howdy continuously haunts the former Olympian.

Strowman and Reed come out to the ring. Chad's theme song could hit, but the technician would not emerge from the gorilla position. The camera would cut backstage to show an unconscious Gable in his locker room, like LA Knight a few years ago.

Naturally, the attack could have been enacted by any member of the locker room, but all signs would point toward Uncle Howdy.

#1. Chad Gable disappears during the Money in the Bank qualifying match

Under the Triple H regime, WWE programming has undergone a dynamic shift that emphasizes creativity and long-term storytelling. Hunter could apply the same to the Uncle Howdy-Chad Gable angle on RAW.

Despite the odds naturally stacked against him, Gable could manage to gain the upper hand on Strowman and Reed. As the former Olympian looks to close the match, the lights go out and smoke fills the arena.

As the lighting is restored, Gable is nowhere to be found. could go missing for weeks without any logical explanation. He could later return as Howdy's newfound accomplice or his rival.
