4 things The Judgment Day could do on this week's WWE SmackDown
Despite being a part of the RAW roster, WWE's most villainous faction, The Judgment Day, has made sporadic appearances on Friday Night SmackDown.
With the faction currently holding the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles, the group is able to feature on both brands.
Join us as we take a look at four potential things The Judgment Day could do on this week's episode of SmackDown.
#4. The Judgment Day continues its deal with The Bloodline
Earlier this month, Rhea Ripley and The Judgment Day formed an alliance with The Bloodline after she and Paul Heyman came to an agreement.
With The Bloodline having been the biggest act in the company in recent years, it would be wise for The Judgment Day to continue to align with the hottest thing going on in WWE.
Speaking to Gery Roif earlier this year, Rhea Ripley stated that she would have been interested in joining The Bloodline if she wasn't already a part of The Judgment Day.
"You know, Rhea Ripley only wants the best and that’s why I’m a part of The Judgment Day. If we weren’t a thing, we weren’t a faction, we weren’t all together, I would probably be trying to get into The Bloodline." (H/T Sportskeeda)
#3. The Judgment Day interferes in the contract signing
One of the main segments set for this week's SmackDown is the contract signing for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title match at Crown Jewel between Roman Reigns and LA Knight.
With Knight having formed an alliance with top stars like Cody Rhodes and John Cena in recent weeks, Roman may look to The Judgment Day as further insurance to make sure he has the numbers if a brawl breaks out.
This would also allow Mr. Money in the Bank Damian Priest to come face to face with the champ Roman Reigns. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Rhea Ripley said that Priest is ready to take the world title off of The Tribal Chief.
"I think he’s ready to take Roman’s spot. Damian is ready for anything. I’ve known this man pretty much the entire time that I’ve been in NXT. I came to the main roster the exact same time as him. We did our initiation together. I know what he’s capable of, and I think that the sky’s the limit. If he wants to get whatever gold he wants, I think he can do it." (H/T Fightful)
#2. The Undisputed WWE Tag Champs assert their dominance
A big match on this week's episode of the blue brand will see the LWO face The Street Profits in tag team action.
While the two teams are currently embroiled in a deeply personal feud, this match also offers Finn Balor and Damian Priest the chance to assert their dominance as the biggest tag team in WWE.
This contest would also give fans a potential tease of a rematch between Rhea Ripley and Zelina Vega of the Latino World Order. Their showdown at Backlash in May was arguably one of the best matches of the year.
#1. Rhea Ripley confronts a potential future challenger
We will get to see Bianca Belair again, who made a surprise return on SmackDown last week. The EST of WWE had not been seen since SummerSlam, where she had barely won the WWE Women's Title when she quickly lost it after IYO Sky cashed in her Money in the Bank contract.
With gold firmly on her mind, the former RAW and SmackDown Women's Champion will no doubt be gunning for IYO Sky and the rest of Damage CTRL.
However, her return may also offer Triple H and creative an opportunity to tease a future showdown between Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley during a possible backstage run in.
Speaking on WWE's The Bump, Rhea Ripley talked about her and Belair's staredown on RAW as well as a potential future match between the pair.
"I like a bit of mind games. I like being a bit cheeky and going out there and causing a little bit of havoc. RAW is still my show. It’s Monday Night Mami, whether Bianca likes it or not. I might be SmackDown Women’s Champion, but I ran that place with The Judgment Day, and I had to go out there and take my moment, my moment to show everyone exactly what we look like next to each other again." The two stars have arguably been the two biggest performers in the women's division in recent years. Following WrestleMania 39 this year, the pair, who were both champions at the time, shared a moment in the ring.
