4 things The Undertaker can do at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc
The Undertaker is a WWE Hall of Famer and legend. The legend officially retired from the ring in 2020 after spending 30 years in the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. Despite stepping away from the ring, The Deadman still occasionally appears on television or at big premium live events.
In fact, 'Taker has recently been rumored to appear on next week's episode of NXT. While that will be exciting for many fans, it might not be the only place he appears. The Phenom could first show up at NXT Halloween Havoc.
Given The Undertaker's spooky gimmick and history, appearing at Halloween Havoc makes a lot of sense. This article will take a look at a handful of things that the legendary star could do if he were to appear at the big NXT show.
Below are four things The Undertaker can do at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.
#4. The Undertaker could help Tony D'Angelo overcome the odds
Tony D'Angelo will participate in the biggest match of his WWE career at NXT Halloween Havoc. He will be defending his newly won NXT North American Championship against Oba Femi.
The two will be fighting in a Tables, Ladders, & Scares Match, which is essentially a Halloween-themed TLC Match. Unfortunately for The Don of NXT, he won't be joined by The Family. Oba Femi took out Luca Crusifino and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo in violent fashion on NXT this week, plus Adriana Rizzo was attacked by a mystery assailant backstage.
Tony is going in as the underdog and things could get messy. This could be where The Deadman steps in, however. The Undertaker could return and help Tony slay The Ruler of NXT to punish Oba for his assaults on Stacks and Luca. From there, The Undertaker could raise The Don's hand in victory.
#3. He could be involved in the Devil's Playground Match
The NXT Halloween Havoc card will feature a big-time title match. Trick Williams and Ethan Page, two men who have been battling for months on the WWE brand, will clash once again over the NXT Championship.
This time, however, they won't have a singles bout or a match with a special guest referee. Instead, they will fight in a Devil's Playground Match, which is essentially a Halloween-themed No Disqualification Match.
If anybody fits the concept of The Devil's Playground, it would be The Undertaker. He could be a mysterious and shocking surprise in the bout, perhaps taking out the cocky, annoying, and at times manipulative Ethan Page, ultimately helping Trick Williams retain his prized belt.
#2. The Undertaker could hang out with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels
The Undertaker is a WWE legend who has had numerous incredible feuds and matches throughout his career. While he's had too many great rivalries to list, it could be argued that his best dance partner was Shawn Michaels.
The two had a pair of incredible matches at WrestleMania and even competed in the first-ever Hell in a Cell Match. Almost every match they had together was wrestling perfection. Now, the two men are friends and that may mean The Undertaker's role at Halloween Havoc will be a minor one.
Instead of some Earth-shattering appearance that leads to a title victory of some kind, The Deadman could simply show up to hang out with The Heartbreak Kid. They could be seen together on-camera for a brief segment or even just work in the Gorilla Position throughout the show without fans even knowing.
#1. He could pass the mantle to Zaria
Zaria has arrived! Previously known as DELTA, the powerful Australian who has been endorsed by Rhea Ripley was recently signed by WWE. After weeks of teasers, she briefly appeared at the end of NXT this week.
How she appeared was interesting, as she looked to the ring, which featured three female stars: Kelani Jordan, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer. What Zaria does next in WWE isn't yet clear, but the spooky and intimidating woman is clearly going to make a major impact.
If The Undertaker appears at NXT Halloween Havoc, he could simply pass the mantle, so to speak, to the next generation. He could give her the nickname of The Phenom and let the wrestling world know that Zaria is the future of NXT, RAW, and SmackDown. His endorsement would change her career forever.
