4 things WWE secretly told us on Smackdown Live this week
Fastlane was a fantastic pay-per-view where some remarkable matches took place. Though it did not have any jaw-dropping bout, every match was praiseworthy. Several titles were on the line in Cleveland, but no title changed hands.
Since it was the last PPV before WrestleMania 35, the ultimate storyline for the biggest spectacle of the year will develop following Fastlane.
Considering we are less than one month away from the Show of Shows, the Raw and Smackdown episodes are bound to be mind-boggling. There is no denying that RAW produced an astounding show this week and Smackdown Live repeated the same feat.
Smackdown Live was held at the Wright State University Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio. The blue brand provided some prodigious bouts and some blockbuster announcements for the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Here we discuss four things WWE secretly told us on Smackdown Live this week.
#4 The IIconics could challenge the Boss N Hug Connection at WrestleMania 35
The inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions, Boss N Hug Connection, defended the twin titles against Nia Jax and Tamina at Fastlane. They overpowered the team of Nia Jax and Tamina in Cleveland, and they are searching for next challengers. The IIconics could be next opponents of the current Women Tag Team Champions, and they could tussle at the Show of Shows.
Bayley and Sasha Banks grabbed the twin belts after defeating five other teams at Elimination Chamber. Subsequently, they promised to defend the belts against any team from RAW, Smackdown Live or even NXT. As a matter of fact, they also appeared on the NXT shows. With the appearance of Natalya and Beth Pheonix at Fastlane, there could be several contenders for the Boss N Hug Connection in New Jersey.
The IIconics had a backstage segment on Smackdown Live this week where Peyton Royce and Billie Kay took a shot at Sasha Banks and Bayley. The IIconics had a notable run in NXT, and they could be set for their biggest bout at WrestleMania 35.
