4 Trade-offs for Bron Breakker if he moves to WWE SmackDown
WWE Monday Night RAW has been chaotic lately, and that is in no small part thanks to one of the brand's newest stars. More specifically, the recently drafted Bron Breakker has been on a tirade.
During last week's show, Bron showed his frustration over being left out of the King of the Ring Tournament by brutalizing NXT Level Up's Kale Dixon, sending the young performer packing in an ambulance. He then attacked folks backstage, including Ricochet, who had sore ribs this week.
Speaking of Ricochet, he and Ilja Dragunov had another epic match on Monday Night RAW this week. Before a winner could be decided, however, Breakker appeared despite being suspended. He devastated both men with vicious Spears, and Adam Pearce was not happy.
It is clear that the RAW General Manager cannot tame Bron, and as a result, he may want to send Breakker back to SmackDown. This article will look at a handful of possible trade-offs RAW could get if they manage to trade Bron away from the red brand.
Below are four trade-offs for Bron Breakker if he moves to WWE SmackDown.
#4. AJ Styles is looking for an opportunity
AJ Styles is one of the best wrestlers of a generation. He first broke into wrestling during the latter years of the Attitude Era. He rose to prominence in Ring of Honor, TNA Wrestling, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling before joining WWE in 2016. He has remained a top name ever since.
An upsetting segment took place on WWE Friday Night SmackDown last week. When AJ talked to Nick Aldis about wanting a title opportunity, Styles mentioned not having time left, referring to what could be his impending retirement.
Nick refused to give Styles a title opportunity, noting that he must earn it. If AJ is traded to RAW for Bron, however, it could benefit all parties. Bron can grind and earn his way up as Nick wants, while Pearce may be more willing to give The Phenomenal One a shot since he hasn't lost to Damian Priest.
#3. Adam Pearce could stick it to Bron by taking Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin has had an interesting career. While he started as the Lone Wolf, his main roster WWE run saw him become a Constable, King Corbin, a bum, rich, and basically everything in between. He was lost until he returned to NXT last year.
Part of how Corbin re-invented himself was as part of The Wolfdogs. He and Bron Breakker made up the duo, and they won the NXT Tag Team Titles together. They were unstoppable on the brand, only losing the belts when Bron was moving up to SmackDown full-time.
Of course, Bron ended up going to RAW and Baron to SmackDown. If Adam Pearce wants to punish Breakker for his behavior, he could trade for Corbin just so The Wolfdogs still can't reunite. This could be a great way of getting revenge for Bron's insubordination.
#2. SmackDown could offer Carmelo Hayes
Carmelo Hayes is one of the best athletes in WWE. While he isn't the biggest superstar, he has the charisma and confidence of a giant. Factor that confidence and charisma in with his incredible in-ring IQ and athleticism and Hayes is the future of the company.
Much like Breakker, Carmelo is new to the full-time main roster in WWE. Like Bron, he has made a splash. Melo has had standout matches with Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens and is currently in a feud with LA Knight.
The most even trade possible might be Bron for Melo. Both are the future of the company, but it would probably be best to keep them on different brands for the time being. This would allow for both men to be elevated.
#1. RAW could get the first pick in the 2025 WWE Draft
While there could be a trade for another WWE performer, there is a chance that Adam Pearce will consider the long game instead. The RAW General Manager may not need another member of the roster immediately but instead will focus on his roster in 2025.
There will inevitably be a 2025 WWE Draft. When that happens, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis will both want the best and brightest on their respective brand.
As the 2024 Draft showed us, part of the game is trying to make sure to keep the roster along with drafting new talent to show. If Adam Pearce can trade Breakker in exchange for the number one draft selection next year, he can make sure RAW starts off the 2025 Draft in a big way.
