4 ways these 4 WWE stars can turn heel before the end of 2024
2024 has been a huge year for WWE. It seems like almost every month the sports entertainment juggernaut sets a new gate record and accomplishes numerous other impressive feats.
Much of the success has come thanks to an incredible group of babyfaces competing up and down the card this year. The likes of Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, LA Knight, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, and Kevin Owens are just some of the most beloved names on the roster.
Still, the strength of a good babyface lies in the hatred for the heels they clash with. While RAW and SmackDown both have some notable and impressive villains, there could be new names added to the heel ranks if some beloved babyfaces change alignment.
This article will take a look at four WWE stars who could potentially turn heel in the coming months and how they might take a turn to the dark side. This includes a popular name currently away from television and a beloved tag team star.
Below are four ways these four WWE stars can turn heel before the end of 2024.
#4. Raquel Rodriguez could join The Judgment Day
Raquel Rodriguez is one of the most physically imposing female stars in WWE history. She joins the likes of Rhea Ripley, Chyna, Kharma, and Nia Jax, as one of WWE's most physically impressive women of all time. It is also possible that she might be a new member of The Judgment Day.
The new Judgment Day features Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Carlito. The stable is currently feuding with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. The rivalry with the terror twins could be exactly how Raquel turns heel and joins the fiendish faction.
Raquel could choose to side with her former WWE Women's Tag Team Championship partner Liv Morgan and attack Rhea Ripley. The perfect place for this to go down is at Bad Blood when the pair go one-on-one. Raquel returning and promptly turning heel would be best for her career and for the Judgment Day.
#3. Kevin Owens could turn heel on Cody Rhodes
Kevin Owens is a complicated figure, but one who has had a lot of success both in and outside of WWE. He is a former Universal Champion and WrestleMania main eventer, but he has struggled to win singles gold for many years now.
The unpredictable Prizefighter was recently involved in a story with Cody Rhodes. The two clashed at Bash in Berlin and many wondered if Kevin would turn heel leading up to the match or during it. Ultimately, he remained a babyface, but that could change before 2024 ends.
It seems as if a heel turn is seemingly inevitable and it might just happen at the expense of Cody Rhodes. Despite not attacking his friend yet, Owens finally snapping to try to win the Undisputed WWE Championship would be incredible to witness and take his career to great heights once again.
#2. Bianca Belair could assault Jade Cargill
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill have quickly become one of the most popular tag teams in WWE, regardless of which division one looks at. Bianca has long been a fan favorite, but the introduction of Jade in January has led to her becoming a major star too.
Jade Cargill is learning the ropes and rapidly becoming popular, meanwhile, Binaca is a veteran at this point. Inevitably, the two will end up clashing and this could happen via The EST turning her back on Cargill.
Bianca could see Jade as someone trying to take her spot. She could also blame Cargill if the pair lose the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. If Belair has enough bitterness built up inside of her, she could proceed to beat down Jade in stunning fashion, which could then lead to the two feuding during The Road to WrestleMania.
#1. Kofi Kingston could finally turn heel again in WWE by ruining The New Day
The New Day is one of the most successful factions in WWE history. The group initially featured Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods. Unfortunately, Big E suffered a serious neck injury in 2022 and is yet to return to the ring, and it's still unknown whether he ever actually will.
As a result, the group has just been Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Recently, however, Woods has expressed some issues with Kofi on television. Many expect Xavier to turn heel, but Triple H could swerve fans and it might be Kofi who does so instead.
Kingston could say he's a former world champion and a future Hall of Famer, but he's held his own career back by carrying around the dead weight that is Woods. This would ruin The New Day forever, but it could start a new chapter in the career of Kofi Kingston. Plus, Kofi beating down Woods would be quite the visual.
