4 Ways to book CM Punk's return to Pro-Wrestling
Thanks to the strong emergence of All Elite Wrestling, who put on a fantastic show, Double or Nothing, over the weekend, which featured a few classic matches, and the debut of Jon Moxley, who was formerly Dean Ambrose in WWE.
We also saw AEW bring in WWE legend and Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart to present their new World Championship, so it's quite clear that pro wrestling's newest, and frankly, hottest company is ready and willing to bring in big names if they're a good fit.
Someone who would be a fantastic fit for them would be CM Punk, who didn't end up appearing at this past weekend's Double or Nothing show, but it's quite clear that, even though many were hoping for a Punk appearance, the fans were still more than thrilled with the show despite the fact that the "Best in the World" wasn't there.
But will he show up in the future? Or will he return to WWE? As of right now, no one knows, but here are a few ways that WWE or AEW could book CM Punk's pro wrestling return.
#4 AEW Commentator
As we learned during his WWE days, CM Punk is a fantastically entertaining commentator, which wasn't really surprising to learn, as he was one of the best talkers of his era. So it wouldn't be the worst idea for All Elite Wrestling to bring him in as a commentator if he doesn't have an interest in actually getting in the ring again.
Another way to do it is to bring him back as a commentator, but, if he is in fact interested in wrestling again, AEW could do his in-ring return a few months after he starts doing commentary, with the idea being to build more anticipation for his official return to action.
He also could be brought in as a guest commentator during AEW's next pay per view event in Punk's hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
