WrestleMania 35 is history, and will go down in the record books as being one of the biggest PPVs of all time.

After going through 16 matches for more than 7 hours, the sea of 80,000 fans inside MetLife Stadium was exhausted beyond limit. It didn't help that the Women's triple threat main event didn't turn out the way the fans had been expecting it to.

Over the course of the past 35 years, WrestleMania has given the WWE Universe a bunch of memorable main events. The Rock vs Austin II, Benoit vs Michaels vs Triple H, and Hogan vs Andre are some instances when everything went right to the T.

On the other hand, there have been several Mania main events that were hyped to oblivion, but ended up disappointing the fans in terms of the drama as well as match quality. Let's take a look at 4 of these main events.

#4 A McMahon in every corner

This wasn't worthy of main eventing WrestleMania

The main event of WrestleMania 2000 was advertised with the tagline of "A McMahon in every corner". The long-standing rivalry among the notorious family was coming to an end on The Grandest Stage Of Them All.

The Rock had Vince McMahon by his side, Triple H had Stephanie, Mick Foley had Linda McMahon, and The Big Show had Shane McMahon in his corner.

The Fatal-Four-Way was heavily publicized, but the entire match fell apart when it came to the real deal. The Big Show and Foley were eliminated first, leading to a one-on-one with The Rock and Triple H, a match that should have originally been the main event. Triple H won the match when Vince turned on The Rock. This was the first time that a heel ended up winning in the end at WrestleMania. Fans weren't thrilled with the match and the ending proved to be the final nail in the coffin.
