4 WWE names confirmed for the Women's Royal Rumble match so far (January 12, 2024)

The 2024 Royal Rumble is approximately two weeks away, yet the field for both matches remains wide open. The card for the show is still being built, but stars usually declare themselves in the match each week on RAW, SmackDown, or social media.

Many top names usually appear in the match without an announcement. That tactic helps keep some surprises even though fans know that full-time stars from RAW or SmackDown will likely be in the match.

Only four names have been announced for the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble match as of January 12, 2024.

#4. Bayley was the first to declare herself in the 2024 Royal Rumble

The former multi-time women's champion announced her participation in the annual event way back on the December 15 episode of SmackDown.

She also declared that Damage CTRL would be holding all of the gold in 2024. IYO SKY would be the WWE Women's Champion while she would win the Royal Rumble and beat Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship.

Bayley also claimed that the Kabuki Warriors would become the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Bayley hasn't won the match yet but is one of the favorites.

#3. Nia Jax was the second woman to join the match

WWE always touts huge stars like the Big Show, Otis, Omos, or Nia Jax as threats to win due to their size. None of those stars, however, has outlasted 29 other superstars.

Despite that, Jax was the first RAW performer to enter the Women's Royal Rumble. She has traditionally entered in the final stages of the match, even doing so as the final entrant last year.

Jax recently defeated Becky Lynch and could be in line for a title match against Rhea Ripley at the event. She could also pull double duty and enter the Royal Rumble toward the end.

#2. Becky Lynch announced her participation during a Peacock Special

Before Rumble season began, Becky Lynch was seen as one of the favorites to win the match. It would make her the first woman to win two Royal Rumble matches.

Lynch has been operating outside the title scene in feuds with Damage CTRL and Nia Jax. She had a brief run as the NXT Women's Champion but helped to elevate the title by defending it against Indi Hartwell, Tegan Nox, and Lyra Valkyria.

The Man joined the fray on January 4 during WWE's big Knockout Week following Raw Day 1.

#1. The EST looks to become a two-time Rumble winner

Like Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair is a former winner with aspirations for a second Rumble win. She declared her intentions to enter the match on last week's SmackDown. It kept her neverending feud with Damage CTRL going as she did so over a confrontation with the faction.

Belair has consistently hovered around the title picture for the last two years and will likely be one of the final four participants in the match.

She'll have to look out for Damage CTRL and Bayley, although the group wasn't on the same page during another clash between Bayley and The EST of WWE.
