4 WWE stars Brock Lesnar can align himself with if he returns
The murmurings about Brock Lesnar potentially returning to WWE have grown rife as of late. This is after it was reported that talks are ongoing about him potentially coming back to the famed promotion.
Lesnar’s intensity inside the squared circle has been sorely missed by fans since his last TV appearance during last year’s SummerSlam where he had a match against Cody Rhodes. Many expected that he would return within a few months and start with a new storyline. If such a plan existed it was hampered by his connection to the controversy surrounding WWE’s former boss Vince McMahon.
During this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW, both Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins made references to him and these moments were quickly picked up by fans and pundits.
If rumors are true, fans are musing about what possible storylines he’ll be delving into or which superstars he could be aligning himself with. To that end, here are the potential picks.
#4. Paul Heyman
Starting things off with Brock Lesnar’s former advocate – Paul Heyman. Like Lesnar, The Wiseman has been off WWE TV for several months after being taken out by Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline.
Prior to him being the faction’s Wiseman, Heyman was Lesnar's manager for years. The partnership of these two could be witnessed again by fans if The Beast Incarnate decides to return to WWE TV.
Heyman could reason that Roman Reigns was not there to help him during The Bloodline’s onslaught on him. Such a scenario would likely spark another feud between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns in which the latter is in need of help against his former stable.
#3. Bron Breakker
Brock Lesnar could also align himself with former WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker. The generational Superstar has the power, intensity, and agility whenever he’s inside the ring. His unpredictability is also another characteristic that he possesses which makes him one of the most dangerous WWE Superstars in the company.
Lesnar possesses the same traits as Breakker which contributed immensely in making him one of the most decorated Superstars of the promotion. During an episode of NXT back in October 2023, Heyman was seen introducing Breakker before his match against Carmelo Hayes who was accompanied by John Cena at the time.
Another thing worth noting is the time when Heyman turned on Brock Lesnar during Royal Rumble in 2022. Lesnar could pick up on these and attempt to form an alliance with Breakker and at the same time be his mentor.
#2. R-Truth and Brock Lesnar is certainly an odd team-up
The idea of R-Truth and Brock Lesnar could be the last thing on every pro wrestling fan’s mind, but anything can happen within the walls of WWE.
The two Superstars had a memorable spot during the January 13 episode of WWE RAW back in 2020. Paul Heyman and then-WWE Champion Lesnar were cutting a promo at the time when then-24/7 Champion R-Truth interrupted them, declared that he would be part of the Royal Rumble, and vowed to send Heyman over the top rope during the 30-man match.
This made Lesnar break character which is a rarity considering his Beast Incarnate persona. Despite laughing his heart out at the time, Lesnar went on to deliver his signature F5 to Truth.
During an interview, Truth revealed that Heyman had a bet going on at the time and they wanted him (Truth) to make The Beast Incarnate laugh. After his successful attempt, Truth and Lesnar talked backstage where the latter told the former that they had to do something together adding that there was something to what had transpired between them during the promo.
#1. Cody Rhodes
There’s also the possibility of Brock Lesnar teaming up with the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
Last year’s SummerSlam PLE saw a match for the ages between the two Superstars where they poured every ounce of their strength to beat each other up. In the end, Rhodes was declared the victor to his fans' delight.
However, what happened next surprised fans as Lesnar went on to shake Rhodes's hands and raise his arms afterward. Such actions were unlike Lesnar, due to his very volatile nature. It was indeed a feel-good moment, as Rhodes had earned the respect of The Beast.
Rhodes is scheduled to go up against Gunther at the upcoming Crown Jewel PLE as they vie for the first-ever Crown Jewel Championship. Lesnar could make a surprise appearance during the Saudi PLE resulting in The Ring General getting distracted which would cost him the new title.
This would finally pave the way for a new storyline leading to a highly anticipated match between Brock Lesnar and Gunther.
