4 WWE stars Brock Lesnar can put over if he returns - Underutilized former champion, world champion, and more

Brock Lesnar is one of the most notable names in WWE history. He was immediately pushed as The Next Big Thing upon debuting in 2002 and quickly became a WrestleMania headliner and world champion.

Lesnar left the company to pursue football and the MMA for several years. His success in the UFC during the company's boom period only helped make The Beast a bigger star. When he eventually returned to World Wrestling Entertainment over a decade ago, he was more important and relevant than ever before.

The former client of Paul Heyman hasn't competed in a World Wrestling Entertainment ring in quite some time. His last bout was over a year ago at SummerSlam 2023 where he lost to The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.

It isn't clear if Lesnar will ever return to action, but if he does, there are many dream matches awaiting him. Given that Brock is on the tailend of his career, he may very well put over some talent if he does indeed make a comeback. This article will take a look at several names the massive star could lose to if he does return to the sports entertainment juggernaut.

Below are four WWE stars Brock Lesnar can put over if he returns.

#4. Gunther is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion

Gunther is arguably the best in-ring performer in WWE today. He is also one of the most heavily pushed. The powerful Austrian has set the record for the longest reigns with both the United Kingdom Championship and Intercontinental Title in the past. Now, however, he has a different belt.

The Ring General is on top of the world since WWE SummerSlam. He challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight TItle at The Biggest Party of the Summer and won, albeit thanks to some interference from Finn Balor.

As the World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther is more likely to fight Brock Lesnar than almost anyone else. The Ring General has been open about wanting the match in the past, so this bout could very well end up happening.

#3. Bron Breakker is the future of WWE

Bron Breakker is an incredible athlete currently signed to WWE RAW. He is the son of the legendary Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner. In addition to his incredible lineage, Bron is a former two-time NXT Champion.

The Big Bad Booty Nephew might not like being called the future now, however, as he is very quickly proving to be the present. Breakker defeated Sami Zayn to win the Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam, officially making him a major player on RAW.

Given that Breakker is very much the future of World Wrestling Entertainment, it would make sense for The Beast to put Breakker over. If Brock loses to Bron, it would solidify the Intercontinental Champion as the baddest man in wrestling.

#2. Ilja Dragunov vs. Brock Lesnar would be incredibly violent

Ilja Dragunov is without a doubt the most intense superstar in all of pro wrestling, but especially in WWE. His rage is incomparable and he brings a physicality that very few can match. His formula is successful, as it has led him to the United Kingdom Title and the NXT Championship.

While Ilja is violent, physical, intense, and talented, he isn't in a big spot right now on WWE programming. While he's always highly protected, the Russian star doesn't seem to be doing much in way of matches or story.

That could change if Brock Lesnar returns. With how violent both men are, the two clashing would be incredible. Ilja, the ultimate underdog, managing to defeat the former UFC Champion would be shocking, but it would also elevate him to new heights.

#1. Oba Femi is another star who might be the future

Oba Femi is a destructive force down in NXT. Despite only having a little experience in WWE and pro wrestling as a whole, Femi has rapidly ascended up the card and fans can't seem to get enough of the big man dominating opposition.

The Nigerian star is currently the WWE NXT North American Champion. He captured the belt from Dragon Lee and has successfully defended it against the likes of Otis, Wes Lee, Dijak, and various other quality performers.

Femi has made it clear that he's looking for someone to test him. The man who will very likely be a future megastar in his own right could get his biggest test in the form of Brock Lesnar. The Beast showing up on NXT would shock fans while also elevating the brand. More importantly, Lesnar putting over Oba would cement him for years to come.
