4 WWE Superstars who may be seen in the referee role next
WWE has recently started using its under-utilized superstars in the referee's role on WWE TV. Earlier, Heath Slater was assigned the referee's role on RAW, and he even officiated several matches after taking over as an in-ring referee.
On the previous episode of RAW, we saw the jobber Curt Hawkins officiate the RAW tag team championship match between The Revival and the team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. The Revival attacked Hawkins after the match, which led to the reunion of the team of Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins after 10 years in the WWE.
This is a good way of building storylines, and I think WWE will use this formula in future as well. So, here are the 4 superstars who may be seen in the black and white jersey soon.
#4 Baron Corbin
This week on RAW, the WWE Universe saw Baron Corbin clash with Elias perhaps for the 1000th time, and it seems like WWE does not have any plans for the Lone Wolf right now. So the creative team may try to use him as a referee in matches where the face superstars are supposed to lose.
This could help Baron Corbin develop a rivalry with a top face superstar via a proper storyline. Also, this would make sure the audience do not hear the cringe worthy promos of the Lone Wolf, which do nothing but bore.
I know, the job of the heel is to bore the audience, but the heel should have proper chemistry with the mic and the audience's reaction. Superstars like Elias, Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, & the Miz were the prime heels of their time, yet the fans did not mind their insults and promos.
Baron Corbin has a lot to learn, and so I would have him officiate matches until he grows as a superstar.
