4 WWE Superstars who could win their first World Title in 2025
2024 has been an outstanding year for WWE full of unforgettable moments, blockbuster matches, and more. Stories were finished, returns were made, records were broken, and the product as a whole thrived, with over 60 sell-outs reported by Triple H throughout the year. With RAW's move to Netflix, John Cena's retirement tour, and more coming, the Stamford-based promotion could outdo itself in 2025.
One of the biggest things to look forward to any given year is the creation of new stars for fans to root for. One of the best ways to do this is to make them World Champions, solidifying their popularity. Just like how popular Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, and Gunther have become by the end of 2024, a select group of stars is ready to take the next step to World Champion status in 2025.
Here are four Superstars that could win their first WWE World Titles in 2025:
#4: Bron Breakker has had a meteoric rise in his first year on the WWE main roster
Bron Breakker a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion. The former Dog of NXT has burst onto the main roster like a house on fire, achieving immense success in his first year. He has quickly earned the fans' respect, proving that he can hang with veterans like Sheamus, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso and more.
Breakker is a future World Champion in many fans' eyes, but a big chunk feels he should be crowned as soon as 2025. Given Gunther's seamless transition from Intercontinental to World Champion in 2024, it's easy to see Breakker doing the same in 2025.
#3: Tiffany Stratton is likely to successfully cash in her Money In The Bank contract in 2025
Tiffany Stratton is another 2024 NXT graduate who took to the main roster like a fish to water. The Center of the Universe quickly fit in with the likes of Bianca Belair, Bayley, and Nia Jax, becoming a main fixture on SmackDown alongside seasoned veterans. Her alliance with Jax, in particular, has elevated both women, constantly proving a highlight on the blue show.
Given that the duo are WWE Women's Champion and Ms. Money in the Bank respectively, a betrayal is inevitable in the near future. Whether Jax turns on Stratton or vice versa, The Buff Barbie's popularity and flawless work thus far means she's likely to cash in successfully, winning her first World Title. The only question is when Triple H and Co. will decide to pull the trigger.
#2 & #1: Jey Uso and Sami Zayn could finally become WWE World Champions in 2025
A first World Title win is always an emotional affair, whether achieved early in a superstar's career to set up a decades-long run of success or late in one's run as a long overdue reward for continued excellence. While Bron Breakker and Tiffany Stratton would fall into the former, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn would fall into the latter category.
The Yeetmaster and Honorary Uce have entertained fans up and down the card for over ten years, but only recently have they been presented as main event talent.
The duo has competed for World Titles, headlined WrestleMania, and arguably become the heart and soul of the company's top storyline. However, they are yet to be rewarded despite their World Champion-caliber work. They could follow in Damian Priest and Cody Rhodes' footsteps and "finish their stories" in 2025, finally winning the big one.
It would be a heartwarming moment for either man, rewarding their decades of world-class performances with the crowning achievement they so rightfully deserve.
