4 WWE teams that could break up next
WWE NXT this week featured a fantastic main event with tremendously high stakes. The controversial and downright hated Ridge Holland went one-on-one with the leader of Chase University, Andre Chase.
The match had two big stipulations. The first was that the winner of the bout would become the new number-one contender for Trick Williams' NXT Championship. The second is that if Andre were to lose, Chase U would be forced to disband.
In upsetting news for many wrestling fans, Andre Chase did ultimately lose to the brooding powerhouse. This means Thea Hail, Riley Osborne, and Duke Hudson are forced to give up being part of the popular stable, essentially leaving Mr. Chase on his own.
Now that the popular stable has disbanded, many wonder what tag team could be next. This article will take a look at four duos across RAW, SmackDown, and NXT who could end up facing a similar fate as Andre, Duke, Riley, and Thea.
Below are four WWE teams that could break up next.
#4. Fraxiom constantly show tension on NXT
Fraxiom is a tag team comprised of former NXT UK stars Nathan Frazer and Axiom. Despite the two not initially being partners, even having a rivalry of sorts, the pair have found success as a unit on WWE NXT.
In fact, Fraxiom are even the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions. Axiom and Nathan have had an incredible run as champions, defeating everyone in their path. In fact, a very real argument could be made that the two are the best tag team in WWE and the world.
Despite that, the champions don't actually get along. They are always bickering and tension is constantly surrounding the pair. It feels like only a matter of time before they break up. With both guys now eyeing the NXT Championship and the Iron Survivor Challenge, that split could happen sooner rather than later.
#3. A-Town Down Under will break up on WWE SmackDown soon
A-Town Down Under is another team that has had very clear issues on WWE television. The duo is made up of the cocky and brash Austin Theory and the somehow even more arrogant Grayson Waller.
As a pair, A-Town Down Under won the WWE Tag Team Titles. Despite their accomplishments, tension has been building between the two. Johnny Gargano and others have routinely pointed out how Grayson Waller treats Theory and the young star is finally beginning to take notice.
A split between the duo is inevitable, but it is happening at a far slower pace than most fans could have expected. Still, Austin Theory is beginning to see the light. This means either he'll ditch Waller or The Aussie Icon will take Theory out before Austin can do the same to him. Regardless, they will soon go their separate ways.
#2. Liv Morgan tried creating issues between Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are a tag team nobody actually saw coming. WWE fans instead imagined that the two would clash and perhaps have an epic feud, but that isn't what actually went down.
Instead, Belair and Cargill, alongside Naomi on occasion had instant chemistry and went on to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles twice, and are the current champions. One of their recent challengers, however, has been stirring the pot to try to make that dream feud happen.
Liv Morgan has been running her mouth and is attempting to drive a wedge between the reigning champions. If Morgan is successful, it could mean either Jade or Bianca turns on the other. From there, the dream rivalry that fans wanted could take place in 2025, perhaps culminating in a match at WrestleMania 41.
#1. The New Day have tension for the first time ever
The New Day has been the longest-running faction in WWE for quite some time. The group, which includes Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E, formed around a decade ago. Even with Big E absent due to an injury, Woods and Kingston have remained united.
Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the two. Despite The New Day never having miscommunication for almost all the years they have been united, the WWE faction suddenly can't stop getting in the way of itself. Woods and Kingston are regularly at each other's throats.
This could mean that the tension between the pair will lead to a major split. Xavier Woods has been acting more and more heelish, so a betrayal of Kofi might be what ends The New Day once and for all, while also catapulting the former King of the Ring as a singles star.
