4 WWE title changes that may happen on Bad Blood weekend
Bad Blood takes place next week, and WWE has booked and prepared an exciting few days of television for its dedicated fan base. Two title matches have been confirmed for the upcoming premium live event.
Nia Jax will defend the WWE Women's Championship against Bayley, and Rhea Ripley will look to regain the Women's World Title with an intriguing stipulation.
However, the company has confirmed and teased a couple of additional title matches for next weekend. Including those, we present four WWE title changes that may happen on Bad Blood weekend.
#4. Tiffany Stratton may finally cash in her Money in the Bank contract at Bad Blood
The Irresistible Force will have her hands full as she defends her championship against Bayley in a rematch from their first encounter at SummerSlam 2024. However, Nia Jax should also be on the lookout for Tiffany Stratton.
Stratton holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, and the popular star has attempted to cash in on Jax before only for her plans to backfire. Jax's luck could run out at Bad Blood when her most trusted friend betrays her and successfully cashes in her MITB contract.
Bayley could also regain the title, but Stratton winning would be more intriguing, allowing Triple H to explore more options with the WWE Women's Title.
#3. With Dominik Mysterio suspended above in a shark cage, Rhea Ripley conquers Liv Morgan
For months, RAW has been dominated by the love triangle between Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley, and Liv Morgan. Dirty Dom eventually betrayed Mami to commit to Morgan at SummerSlam, leading to the implosion of The Judgment Day.
Dom has been a thorn in Ripley's side, protecting Morgan from The Eradicator's wrath. However, the younger Mysterio will be locked and suspended above the ring in a shark cage as his love, Morgan, battles Ripley in a grudge title match.
Assuming no outside distractions, The Eradicator has a pretty good chance of dethroning Morgan to win the Women's World Championship at Bad Blood.
#2. DIY regain the Tag Team Championships in the Triple Threat Ladder match on SmackDown next week
SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, announced a blockbuster Triple Threat Ladder match for the October 4 edition of the blue brand next week. The Bloodline will defend their Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits and DIY.
The outcome of this match depends primarily on whether Jacob Fatu plays a part or not and the degree of outside interference. If The Samoan Werewolf is not involved, the titles could change hands.
Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano are experts in such ladder matches, having battled in many together with much success. If Fatu is nowhere to be seen, they could regain the titles.
#1. The US Championship may change hands amid all the drama between LA Knight, Andrade, and Carmelo Hayes
LA Knight has unfortunately gotten caught up in the brewing and evenly-matched rivalry between Andrade and the cunning Carmelo Hayes. Knight retained the US Title against El Idolo, who showed the champion respect upon losing.
However, Knight's issues with Hayes and Andrade. Following a backstage assault, The Megastar interfered during Hayes vs. Andrade, inadvertently costing El Idolo the match. Tensions between the three men are escalating, which could lead to a Triple Threat.
WWE could book the same on SmackDown or save it for Bad Blood. Either way, Knight's chances of losing the title would dramatically increase as he would not have to be involved in the finish of the match.
