4 WWE Wrestlers Who Were Fired For Stupid Reasons
Every year, usually after WrestleMania, the WWE compiles and publishes a list of people who have been released. These names are normally people who contribute very little to the product or, are surplus to requirements. It has become a tradition to announce these releases on WWE.com and wishing these wrestlers "the best in their future endeavors".
This is a very "corporate" way to handle company firings but, sometimes wrestlers can be fired on the spot. This can happen for a variety of reasons, like a wrestler getting into trouble outside the company.
Every company in the world fires employees, and most of the time these employees are fired for the correct reasons but, sometimes employees are fired for no good reason, or for stupid reasons. The WWE is no exception to this, they have fired many wrestlers over the years for stupid reasons.
Here are 4 wrestlers that WWE fired for stupid reasons.
#4 Emma
Emma was the first ever WWE Women's wrestler from Australia. She signed with the company's developmental brand, FCW, in 2011. She was released from the company on October 29th 2017, but this wasn't the first time she was fired.
In 2014, Emma was fired by the WWE for stealing a IPad case from a Walmart in Connecticut. She was accused of stealing the case on Monday, June 30th 2014, just before an episode of RAW. She appeared in a community court the next day and was charged with sixth-degree larceny. Her lawyer said that she had simply forgotten to scan the case (worth $21), after already paying for $30 worth of items.
WWE released Emma on July 2nd 2014 and then re-hired two hours later! The initial statement on her release was updated to read "WWE has reinstated Tenille Dashwood (Emma) but will take appropriate action for her violation of the law". The WWE realized they had made a very quick and harsh decision, and accepted that they made a mistake firing her.
