42-year-old star to quit WWE out of frustration due to unfortunate career-related reason? Potential situation explored

One of the biggest shocks to come out of WWE Survivor Series: WarGames last week was Shinsuke Nakamura defeating LA Knight to become the new United States Champion.

One of the most notable things heading into the contest was how visibly rattled the 42-year-old star looked as Nakamura, who recently debuted a new villainous look, seemed to have well and truly got under the skin of the megastar.

For over a year now, fans have loved LA Knight's infectious personality and will to win, making him one of the most beloved and entertaining stars in the company. However, following his loss to Nakamura, he looked visibly shaken and not like his usual self.

With that in mind, we may see in the coming weeks a shocking move from LA Knight as he chooses to quit the company due to Nakamura's mental and physical dissection at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Former WWE manager on LA Knight losing the United States Title

While many were shocked over the US title match result in Vancouver last weekend, one person who understood the decision was former WWE manager Dutch Mantell (aka Zeb Colter).

Speaking exclusively on Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackTalk, Colter gave his thoughts on why WWE was right to have LA Knight lose the title he worked so hard to win.

"That was the only thing they could have done with LA Knight and Nakamura. Because hey, if he (LA Knight) would have won, what for LA Knight then? Now he has gotta have another opponent. And Nakamura, he lost, what's for him? Where he gotta go? They did it right, and now let's see where it leads." [From 04:26 onwards]
