professional wrestling has always been based on the simple face vs heel logic. The devious heel would use his dastardly tricks to gain an advantage over the babyface before succumbing to his rival to close out the storyline.

As time went on though, this simple logic underwent a number of changes. The New World Order made the bad guys cool and the faces ate the humble pie during the matches. Soon enough, the traditional black and white personas made way to shades of grey.

Baby faces collided with each other and so did heels - even though the latter scenario has been rare and has seldom seen an extended angle it made sense to the WWE that nobody would want to see two heels battling it out - whom would the fans cheer for?

This list takes a look at five significant heel vs heel matches that did take place in the WWE.

Test has always been an under-appreciated wrestler in the WWE. While his mic skills were certainly not the best, he produced great matches with his repertoire of heavy moves - especially the Pump-Handle Slam and the vicious Big Boot.

Going into the semi-final match for the 2002 King of the Ring, Test was handed a unique task - to put over a young Brock Lesnar. Lesnar hadn't wrestled a heavyweight up to that point in the WWE and Test would be his first real challenge.

The two produced a great match with Lesnar kicking out of the Pump-Handle Slam before Test nearly took Lesnar's head off with a thunderous Big Boot. 'The Next Big Thing' would prove his credentials with a last-second knockout and minutes later had Test on the mat with an F-5.

Lesnar would progress to the final which he proceeded to win, but Test had made him look like a freight train during their bout.
