To captivate an audience with a simple use of mic is a rare thing. However, promo skills are a must-have in the world of WWE. Any superstar who has made it big in the last decade or two has one common attribute - Using the microphone effectively. Better the mic skills, better are the chances of making it to the top.

Wrestlers like John Cena, CM Punk, and The Miz have always had the gift of gab. They know how to walk the walk, and more importantly talk the talk. But they have been around for the past 12-15 years. Today the new breed of superstars is equally good at cutting promos and they have separated themselves from the rest by doing this one thing - delivering an entertaining and engaging promo.

Here are five such superstars.

#5 Bray Wyatt

There is no one on the roster who can narrate a story better than Bray Wyatt. The booking has always let him down but his mic skills are the only saving grace of his unique character. His promos are crisp, and his story-telling is true to his character. Here is an example of his promo that he cut against John Cena.

“John Cena tells all of you that I am a monster, and he is right. I am a monster, and oh how cruel I can be. He would also have you believe that my message, my honorable message, is nothing but lies and that I only wish to watch the world burn. I have to give it to you, John, you’re right again.
I do wish to watch this world burn. I wish to watch it burn as a farmer watches his spoiled crops burn so they may rise up again. This world must be burned down so that it can be reborn. And it will be reborn in my image, the image of Wyatt.” – Monday Night Raw, May 5, 2014.

His promos are crisp, and his story-telling is true to his character. And because he writes his own promos and crafts his persona, they seem so genuine. He was probably the most over heel around a year ago. After being drafted to Monday Night Raw, Wyatt lost his push. His mic skills are as great as ever and WWE needs to bank on that so that he gets the attention he deserves.
