#5 Shane McMahon Smells What The Rock is Cookin’

Can You Smell It?

The year was 2000, the day was the 3rd of April and ‘Finally’, The Rock had come back to Los Angeles. The main event that day saw the ‘People’s Champ’ face off against Shane O Mac. Shane was joined at ringside by his father and the CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon.

When the match officially began, Vince and Triple H did everything in their power to interfere while the referee was distracted. At some point in the match, the Rock inadvertently knocked out the referee. The match ended with the ‘Champ’ reigning supreme.

However, the show really began when Triple H entered the ring one more time after RAW had gone off the air. This time the ‘People’s Champ’ showed ‘The Game’, his signature move, ‘The People’s Elbow’ and Triple H rolled out of the ring. While Triple H was writhing in pain on the ground, Shane O Mac attempted to sneak up on The Rock, who noticed him and Shane had to retreat.

The Rock continued to celebrate his victory with the title and after he was done, he began to taunt a lurking Shane McMahon. McMahon entered the ring, only to receive ‘The People’s Elbow’, just like his future brother-in-law. The Rock went on to cut a promo stating that the show was over and helped Shane to his feet. Shane was then put on the mic and suggested that he and the Rock team up and take the championship,

The Rock’s reply was simple, a ‘ROCKBOTTOM’ to the junior McMahon.
