In professional wrestling, it doesn't get much better than big pay per views. Sure, their importance in the WWE may have dimmed a little due to the sheer number of PPV events held, but they are still home to some of the biggest wrestling matches on the planet.

Over the years, there have been some terrible PPV cards, there have been a lot of mediocre PPV cards, and there have been some which were truly exceptional. Today, we're here to celebrate those impressive pay per views, so join us on this trip down memory lane.

Despite being the host of much-derided Sumo match between The Big Show and Akebono, Wrestlemania 21 was actually one of the best pay per views of all-time.

We had some stellar encounters including The Undertaker vs Randy Orton, Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels, and the first-ever Money in the Bank Ladder match which was won by Edge.

The two main events saw the crowning of two young stars as World Champions as John Cena defeated JBL for the WWE Championship and Batista beat Triple H to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
