5 Better booking decisions for Rey Mysterio if he does return for WrestleMania 34
In case you didn't know, Rey Mysterio's successful one-off cameo at the Royal Rumble has kickstarted talk of the legendary Luchador possibly returning for another run with the WWE.
The dirt sheets have been stacked all throughout the week with rumors of John Cena wanting to face Mysterio at the show of shows after the heavily-speculated Undertaker dream match fell through. We're sure nobody wants to see Cena vs. Mysterio in 2018, a match that would have no build whatsoever.
WWE should, however, get Mysterio back for the granddaddy of all PPVs as the PPV seriously lacks the star power to breakthrough to the mainstream audience.
With that being said, here are the five best booking options for the original underdog of the WWE:
#1 Wild-card entry
The Cruiserweight division is currently going through a revamp of sorts with the influx of new talents under the watchful guidance of former TNA star, Rockstar Spud aka Drake Maverick as the General Manager.
The on-going tournament to crown a new Cruiserweight Champion has shifted the focus back to the in-ring work of the high-flyers and in all honesty, the show has become quite watchable in recent weeks.
The recent spate of changes in the 205 Live division could be WWE's final attempt at salvaging a failed project and with WrestleMania season on in full swing, the addition of a Cruiserweight legend in the mix would only do wonders for the product.
Remember how the tag team division breathed a new life with the return of the Hardy Boyz at WrestleMania 33? WWE has the opportunity to do something similar by inserting Mysterio in the tournament as a wild-card contestant.
Anyone of the current competitors could be written off television with an injury in order to accommodate the master of the 619.
