5 Blockbuster feuds that WWE teased at Bad Blood
WWE Bad Blood aired tonight at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu squared off against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in the main event.
Gunther will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn tomorrow night on RAW, but he also made an appearance tonight at the premium live event to tease a rivalry with a WWE legend. The Rock made his anticipated return during the closing moments of the show as well.
Listed below are five blockbuster feuds that were teased at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
#5. Raquel Rodriguez returned at WWE Bad Blood 2024 to cost Rhea Ripley
Liv Morgan defended her Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley tonight at WWE Bad Blood and The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio was trapped inside a shark cage during the match. Dirty Dom was involved in a storyline relationship with Ripley but decided to betray the latter at SummerSlam in August 2024 to side with Liv Morgan.
Rhea Ripley was in control of the match when Raquel Rodriguez returned to help Liv Morgan tonight at the PLE. Morgan capitalized on the interference and went on to retain the Women's World Championship. Rodriguez and Morgan used to be a tag team and even won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship twice as a duo. Ripley and Rodriguez appear set for a rivalry on RAW after the latter made her stunning return tonight at Bad Blood.
#4. Goldberg and Gunther teased a rivalry at Bad Blood 2024
Goldberg and his son, Gage, were in attendance for Bad Blood tonight at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Gunther recently referenced Goldberg during Bret Hart's appearance on the September 9, 2024, edition of RAW. The legend has made it known that he is not a fan of Vince McMahon for not being allowed to have a retirement match.
The Ring General mocked Goldberg tonight by saying that he hoped he was a better father than he was a professional wrestler. The 57-year-old legend responded by trying to confront Gunther in the ring but was stopped by security.
Sami Zayn then attacked Gunther ahead of his World Heavyweight Championship match against the latter on RAW. If The Ring General can retain his title this Monday night, he could potentially have his next challenger lined up after insulting Goldberg tonight.
#3. Jimmy Uso returned to exact revenge on Solo Sikoa
The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu battled Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in the main event of Bad Blood 2024. Jimmy Uso finally returned and interfered in the match to help Reigns and Rhodes emerge victorious.
The 39-year-old star had not been seen on WWE television since Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga attacked him on the April 12, 2024, episode of RAW. Jimmy Uso lost to Jey Uso at WrestleMania XL, and Solo kicked him out of The Bloodline following the loss. Uso desires to exact revenge on Sikoa and the two stars could have a personal rivalry in the weeks ahead on SmackDown.
#2. Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes brawled after Bad Blood 2024
Kevin Owens had been teasing a heel turn in the past few weeks and The Prizefighter finally snapped following WWE Bad Blood. Cody Rhodes and Owens were spotted having a conversation in the parking lot outside the former's tour bus.
The conversation got heated, and Owens unleashed an attack on the champion before driving away. Rhodes and Kevin worked together for months in a rivalry against The Bloodline and The American Nightmare rewarded the veteran with a title match at Bash in Berlin 2024. Rhodes defeated Owens at the premium live event on August 31, and it appears that their rivalry is only getting started.
#1. The Rock returned at the end of WWE Bad Blood 2024
Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes got the victory over The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in the main event tonight, but their celebration was short-lived. The Rock returned during the final moments of Bad Blood 2024 and the crowd in Atlanta went crazy. The Final Boss stared at Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Jimmy Uso in the ring as Bad Blood went off the air.
The Rock had not been seen since he confronted Cody Rhodes on the fallout episode of RAW after WrestleMania XL. The Great One pinned Rhodes during the tag team match in the main event of Night One of WrestleMania XL and could be returning to continue his rivalry with the Undisputed WWE Champion.
Roman Reigns and The Rock were also supposed to battle at WrestleMania XL, but those plans were changed due to the "#WeWantCody" movement. The legend could potentially have blockbuster rivalries with both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in the months ahead.
