5 Botches, slip-ups, and outrageous moments from WWE WrestleMania 33

#Thankyoutaker

WrestleMania – the Grandaddy of Them All, The Ultimate Thrillride, and whatever else you’d like to call it – is officially in the books for 2017 and what a show it was. The highlights were off the charts with The Broken Hardyz coming back to WWE, Brock Lesnar recapturing the Universal Championship in an exciting contest, and of course the retirement of The Undertaker. This will likely be remembered as a stronger edition of the Showcase of the Immortals, and WWE should be praised for its efforts.

Well, let’s not get too liberal with that praise. Like always there are several of the not so great moments that need to be pointed out, and that’s the purpose of this article. For the security guard on the pre-show that didn’t know the script, the stumbling submission by Natalya during the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and the Roman Reigns Tombstone that never was, this article exists. Five moments from WrestleMania 33 have been gif’ed and commented about for your delight.

So without further delay, here are the 5 botchiest and most outrageous moments of this night...

#5 Seriously, lady, Gronk’s a part of the show

Watching both Braun Strowman and Big Show get eliminated almost immediately in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal was a shocking moment in and of itself, and the final three also gave the same head-scratching feeling. Watching Mojo Rawley, Killian Dane, and Jinder Mahal wind up, in the end, was completely unexpected. Also outrageous was the interference by NFL player or something (I’m not really a football guy), Rob Gronkowski.

Despite all of this outrageousness, the big botch occurred when Rob jumped the guardrail to brawl on his buddy Mojo’s behalf. Apparently, nobody informed the security team of this planned interference, and this noble lady did her job by trying to shove him back into his seat. A group of officials quickly interceded, getting the show back on script.
