5 creative mistakes WWE has made since TLC 2018
WWE has announced a "new era", which really was a non-announcement in itself. However, the night of TLC was quite an incredible one, with the overall PPV comprising of some solid matches and more importantly - the right people going over!
This isn't the first time we've been promised a new era but what's seemingly happened is that there's not going to be any use of "General Managers" any more. That's why Paige has been relieved of her duties, while there was no announced replacement for Baron Corbin.
But the issue is that since TLC, WWE hasn't gotten a few things right. In fact, if anything, these are some surprising errors that they've made creatively, resulting in fans being rather underwhelmed as a whole. Either way, hopefully, things do change and we get a big shake-up in the coming months leading into WrestleMania season.
Here are some creative mistakes that WWE has made since TLC.
#5 The McMahon family running the show again
The McMahon family are big stars and have been influential to the on-screen product for as long as we can remember. They're the driving force backstage, but that's what they should remain - backstage.
The issue with having the McMahons as authority figures is that there's likely going to be more than one storyline that they're going to be involved in. Authority figures should be a prop in the storyline between two or more other superstars, not be the centre of stories themselves (see: William Regal in NXT).
This means that we're going to get an "authority"-esque throwback where every show begins with a 20-minute promo from one of the authority figures. Hopefully, they don't go on screen excessively and only come out when really needed. The last thing WWE TV needs is more McMahon family drama storylines.
