5 dream WrestleMania opponents for John Cena
Wrestlemania is WWE's biggest pay-per-view of the year and John Cena has arguably been the company's biggest wrestler. He is now a part-timer and is involved in several projects outside the WWE ring but he'll irrefutably be back in time for the company's flagship event.
John Cena has carried the company on his shoulders since the turn of the century but the veteran is now 40 and is approaching the twilight of his career. But his recent feuds against Roman Reigns and AJ Styles have proved the Champ has still got it.
His feuds, though, are now short term, but are more important than ever and should continue to be worked out in such a way that they benefit the company and every wrestler involved in the best possible way.
Though, there seem to be no plans set in place for John Cena at the moment, but here are five dream opponents for the "Face that Runs the Place" at "The Show of Shows".
#5 Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan has had quite a decent wrestling career and is one of the elite in-ring performers ever in WWE. His mic skills, high flying manoeuvres, and admirable submission moves have made him a fan favourite.
Bryan has had some memorable matches in WWE, the highlight being the massive pop he received after winning the WWE World Heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 30, or the YEStlemania before he was forced to retire in 2016 due to concussion-related problems.
The Smackdown Live Commissioner is still a fan favourite and has made aware of his desire to compete in a wrestling ring again. He has been cleared by doctors outside of WWE and his recent actions have teased fans of an in-ring return.
WWE hasn't shied away from family-centric storylines in the past, and if he is cleared in time for Wrestlemania, his relationship with John Cena, with both of them married to the Bella twins respectively, could make for a decent storyline. The prospect of two of the biggest wrestlers headlining WrestleMania would be a dream match for wrestling fans worldwide and a potential match of the year candidate.
