5 awkward things Bill Goldberg would probably like the fans to forget
After a long hiatus from mainstream wrestling, Goldberg sprang back into the limelight as he was announced as a playable character for WWE 2K17 pre-orders. Though the promo video involving Goldberg did not suggest anything big for the former WCW World Heavyweight champion, the wrestling community is going wild about the possibilities of seeing him in a WWE ring again.
The star power of Goldberg is something that WWE could use at this moment, but there are certain awkward things about him that the company wouldn’t want us to remember. Here is a look at them.
1. WrestleMania 20
If we go by the rumors, the one match that WWE has planned for Goldberg is against Brock Lesnar. The suplex city sign that was shown in the video package of Goldberg could be an indication of the same.
While the Lesnar vs. Goldberg match will be a big mainstream draw if it happens, the history between these two is not something that WWE would want us to remember.
Back at WrestleMania 20, Lesnar and Goldberg faced off in what was tagged as a dream match. Steve Austin served as the special guest referee to make it even better.
It was the last match of both Lesnar and Goldberg during their respective spells and both of them slept through it. In turn, this ended up being a forgettable WrestleMania match.
