5 feuds John Cena needs to have before retiring

The Champ is here, but for how long?
The Champ is here, but for how long?

Big match John has had a ton of memorable feuds over the years. He has faced the best of the best and not many have been able to get one over on the The Champ. Everyone from Shawn Michaels to Triple H and CM Punk to Roman Reigns have all gone one-on-one with the Leader of Cenation. Hall of Fame calibre stars such as Undertaker and The Rock have tussled with WWE's resident Superman.

There are some men who haven't taken a swing at the 16-time Champion yet, though. Some of WWE's biggest names have never had a feud with Cena. Whether it is because they are new to the roster or because it just hasn't been on the cards, he just hasn't had it out with some of these men. To be clear, for the purpose of this list, having a match doesn't qualify as a full feud. Let's get to the count down.

#5 Shinsuke Nakamura

Passing the torch?
Passing the torch?

Cena vs Nakamura did take place on an episode of SmackDown Live in 2017. The match was to crown a number one contender for Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship. John lost to The Artist, who is now on his way to a WrestleMania main event after winning the Royal Rumble. He could step up and be Nakamura's very first challenger after Nakamura claims the gold.

Shinsuke and Cena could be old school vs new school. WWE gave us a glimpse of this back in the Royal Rumble, when Cena, Orton and Mysterio faced off with Balor, Nakamura and Reigns. Nakamura could strengthen his claim as the new 'face that runs the place' while Cena can try and prove he can still hang with the new era.

The two could have multiple show stealing performances and the leader of Cenation could bring a lot of passion to this feud. Nakamura claiming that he doesn't view Cena as a real threat could make The Champ attempt to step his game up even more.
