Is the Superstar Shakeup the perfect time to welcome back Dean Ambrose?

The first leg of the Superstar Shakeup certainly produced the effect that it was intended to on Monday Night Raw.

There were surprise returns, shock debuts and a whole lot of uncertainty and buzz surrounding what the WWE would pull out of their hat next.

Which, in fairness, makes yesterday's episode one of the more memorable shows the WWE has put on in the recent past.

And before the weekly episodes return to the predictable dross that happens year round, we're at least sure of one more highly entertaining and charged up show of SmackDown Live tomorrow as the Superstar Shakeup comes to a conclusion.

Which Superstars will jump ship from the red brand to the blue? We'll find out soon enough.

But meanwhile, sink your teeth into this short listicle speculating five possible former World Champions who could fit the bill.

Dean Ambrose

After having been put on the shelf from December due to injury, Ambrose is being advertised for the WWE's upcoming tour of South Africa, meaning that a much-needed return to bolster Smackdown Live's roster this week can't at all be ruled out.

Ambrose has always been over with the WWE Universe and an unexpected return to action during the Shakeup will likely be met in thunderous fashion.

And with both Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode moving to Raw yesterday, it does open up a mid to upper card slot that needs filling too.

But apart from all of that, who wouldn't like to see the third member of the Shield back in action again?
